View our expert's Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Thursday which features two both teams to score tips, an over 2.5 goals tip and a team to score 2+.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Bournemouth vs Cardiff City – Over 2.5 Goals
Bournemouth will look to extend their lead at the top of the Championship as they host a Cardiff side who are just three points outside the relegation zone.
After back to back defeats against Blackburn and Middlesbrough, Bournemouth got back to winning ways away to QPR, whilst Cardiff came from two down to draw 2-2 to Birmingham, meaning they’ve now taken 10 points from their last six matches.
Bournemouth are amongst the highest scorers in the Championship, particularly at home, scoring 23 times in 11 matches, whilst Cardiff have scored 10 times in their last six matches, scoring two or more in five of them.
Given that all bar one of Bournemouth’s 11 matches at home and six of Cardiff’s last seven away have seen at least three strikes, there’s every chance we’ll see at least another three here at the Vitality.
Bristol City vs QPR – Both Teams to Score
QPR will look to get their promotion push back on track, as they travel to Ashton Gate to take on Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City.
After three successive wins, Mark Warbuton’s side have lost each of their last two to fellow promotion chasing sides Bournemouth and Stoke, whilst Bristol City fell to a 2-3 defeat at home to Huddersfield.
Bristol City have scored in eight of their last nine at home, including in each of their last six, whilst QPR have found the back of the net in all bar two of their matches this season.
Bristol City have saw 61% of their matches this season see both teams to scoring, whilst 8/10 of QPR’s away matches have also saw both teams to score, therefore there’s a good chance we’ll see the same thing land here.
Sunderland vs Sheffield Wednesday – Both Teams to Score
Two sides on the hunt for promotion in League 1 meet at the Stadium of Light as 2nd placed Sunderland host 8th placed Sheffield Wednesday.
Sunderland come into this unbeaten in their last eight in League 1, winning three of their last four, whereas the Owls defeated Crewe last time out, extending their unbeaten run to 12.
Only Rotherham (43) have outscored Sunderland (42) in League 1 this season, whilst Darren Moore’s side have scored nine goals in their last five matches.
Given the fact Sunderland have scored in 10/11 at home this season and Sheffield Wednesday have scored in 15 of their last 16, there’s a good chance we’ll see both sides strike in this one.
Porto to Score 2+
Porto will look to climb back above Sporting CP at the top of Liga NOS as they host fellow title rivals Benfica at the Estádio do Dragão.
Porto have been in quite outstanding form in the league this season, taking 41 points from their opening 15 matches this season, with Sergio Conceição’s side winning each of their last 10.
Benfica have won each of their last two in the league pretty emphatically against Marítimo and lowly Famalicão, but were well beaten against city rivals 1-3 in their own backyard in the league game before.
Porto smashed Benfica 3-0 in the Taça de Portugal last Thursday to end Jorge Jesus’s reign as Benfica manager and I’m predicting a Porto side full of confidence to score at least twice against a Benfica side that struggle defensively against the better sides.
