I POSTED a preview of the week ahead yesterday and highlighted the Inverness v Falkirk match.

Boy did Paul Hartley need that result at the weekend. His tenure at Falkirk has been nothing short of disastrous but a 6-1 defeat of title hopefuls Dundee United is just what was needed if they are retain their place in the Championship.

They travel to play Inverness and while one freak results doesn’t make Falkirk a good team it will have given the whole club and the players a massive confidence booster. After a tremendous clean sheet run for Inverness they have conceded in four consecutive games – that doesn’t bode well considering Falkirk have scored in 20 of their last 23 visits to the Highlands.

Inverness v Falkirk (7.45pm)

  • Falkirk to score before 68 mins (5-6, bet365) (NAP)
  • Falkirk not to lose (8-11, William Hill)
