WAS a good Saturday with Ayr and Raith doing the business for the goals Nap and my English double winning at 9-4.

Just one bet from me today and it comes from the SPFL.

Aberdeen v Celtic (1.30pm)

In Celtic terms this is a crisis – they’ve failed to score in their last two league games which would have been unthinkable not so long ago but having lost 1-0 to a resurgent Kilmarnock that was followed by 0-0 at home to St Johnstone.

They’ve given the chasing pack the opportunity to close the gap with Rangers now just 6 points off them. They travelled back from a spineless defeat in Russia so be interesting to see how they respond today.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes will also be looking for a reaction after a poor showing last week at Hibs. This should be a cracking game with plenty of attacking options on the pitch. Can see both sides scoring here. Seventeen of the last 20 meetings between the sides have seen over 2.5 goals and with seven of the last 10 at Pittodrie also going the same way.

Aberdeen are sadly big-game bottle merchants so would expect Celtic to provide us with most goals.

Greg's Tip

  • Over 2.5 match goals
  • (19-20, Marathonbet) (NAP)
