SCOTLAND have a date with destiny at Euro 2024 today as they bid to beat Hungary and make history by reaching the knockout stages of a major tournament for the first time.
Even if the Scots do win they won't be able to celebrate qualification straight away unless Germany thrash Switzerland by five goals or more. But four points should be enough to secure a place in the last 16 as one of the best third-placed sides.
The battling 1-1 draw with Switzerland was the perfect tonic for Steve Clarke's side after losing 5-1 to the hosts on day one. They will give everything against Hungary but do they have enough quality to get over the line?
The Hungarians still have an outside chance of going through and need to go all out for the win that would leave them on three points. After a disappointing display in the 3-1 loss to Switzerland they were better against the Germans but still lost 2-0.
Marco Rossi's men will be desperate to sign off with a victory and will take heart from Scotland's record of bottling it in the final group game of major tournaments.

Scotland vs Hungary Top Betting Tips
With Scotland having previous for disappointing an expectant Tartan Army, there could be some value in backing the Hungarians to win at 6/4 with Betfred.
It should be a good game with both sides having to go for a win so going for goals looks the safest option. Over 2.5 strikes is just 8/11 but combining it with BTTS boosts the odds to 19/20.
Going for cards in Scotland's first two games has paid off for me so that's a market worth revisiting with so much at stake. The Scots are 11/8 to pick up most bookings points but there's better value in backing certain players to go in the book.

Germany vs Switzerland Top Tips
The hosts are already in the last 16 after kicking off Group A with two victories and the Swiss look set to join them in the knockout stages as only a heavy defeat tonight will stop them from finishing second.
If Murat Yakin's side win they will also jump above the Germans and land an easier tie in the next round so this game definitely isn't a dead rubber.
That will ensure Julian Nagelsmann's side keep their foot on the gas, although the German boss will probably make a few changes.
Niclas Fullkrug could start after impressing off the bench and the Dortmund striker is 15/8 for anytime scorer.
Xherdan Shaqiri scored a brilliant goal for Switzerland against Scotland and that should earn him another start. The experienced playmaker is evens just to get a shot on target here and that looks worth a punt.
Uruguay vs Panama Top Tips
Uruguay are potential dark horses for Copa America glory and the kick off their campaign late tonight against Panama.
