Sunday’s Football Tips: Chelsea revival faces Anfield acid test

Chelsea and Liverpool have both been performing above expectations so far in the Premier League and today's clash at Anfield has the potential to be a cracker.

Most people expected the Reds to have a season of transition with Arne Slot stepping into Jurgen Klopp's sizeable shoes but the Dutchman has them sitting top of the pile.

Liverpool's only slip so far was a home loss to Nottingham Forest but they now face two huge games against Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Blues also looked set for another chaotic season when Mauricio Pochettino left and the board embarked on another imbalanced transfer window.

But new gaffer Enzo Maresca has got them purring and a win at Anfield would leave them just a point behind Liverpool.

Although Chelsea have been playing well, their only clash against one of the Premier League big hitters ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester City top betting tips

The early Premier League game sees champions Manchester City travel to a Wolves side sitting bottom of the pile after a terrible start to the season.

Gary O'Neil's side shocked City at Molineux last season but it's hard to see a repeat after watching them crash 5-3 at Brentford before the international break.

Kilmarnock vs Rangers top betting tips

Rangers looked in a bad state after a 3-0 derby loss at Celtic Park left them five points off the SPFL Premiership pace but they have recovered well and haven't dropped any more points in the title race.

Philippe Clement's side now face some tough games on the road, though, with their next two away days coming at Rugby Park and Pittodrie.

Rangers slipped up on Kilmarnock's plastic pitch last term but Betano make Killie 5/1 outsiders, with Derek McInnes' men in poor form this season.

Heavy winds are forecast to hit Scotland today so that could ruin the game as a spectacle. Under 2.5 goals is priced 5/4 at Betano and that might be worth a punt in those conditions.
