Following an eventful Saturday, it’s now time for the matches involving the title favourites, Napoli and Inter Milan, on Sunday.
Napoli host last season’s big surprise package, Como, whilst Inter Milan travel to Cagliari a little later. Lazio, meanwhile, host Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico as they seek their strongest start in years.

Napoli vs. Como (5:30pm)
Napoli needed a bit of time to get into their stride against Genoa, but ultimately won their first match with two late goals. Now, however, an even tougher challenge awaits them.
Como didn’t play their best match against Udinese, but they didn’t lose either. Last season, the two Serie A matches between Como and Napoli both ended 0–0, so the hosts are certainly in for another tough match.
Nevertheless, I believe Napoli are in far better form, whilst Como haven’t had a particularly good pre-season. I reckon they could win 1–0, but my main tip is for under 2.5 goals.

Cagliari vs. Inter Milan (7:45pm)
Cagliari seem to have maintained their good form from the end of last season and are looking anything but bad at the start of the new one, with their defensive play appearing to be of a high standard.
But they face the champions, who also look in top form, with the difference being that they possess far greater attacking prowess. In their first match of the season, they won 4–1 following a superb pre-season campaign against top-flight sides.
I reckon the Nerazzurri will build on their strong start and come away with all three points, although I expect a more modest scoreline.

Lazio vs. Genoa (7:45pm)
An interesting and challenging season lies ahead for Lazio, whose fans are boycotting the team’s home matches. The Eagles have already been knocked out of the Coppa Italia, so all that remains for them is to fight it out in Serie A.
Genoa started with a defeat against Napoli, although they didn’t play a particularly bad game and held on almost until the end. They have cause for concern despite the hosts’ problems, as they have lost their last six matches against Lazio.
I reckon the Eagles will rise to the challenge once again and kick off with two wins, something that has become a rarity in recent years.
