Real Betis will defend their fifth-place spot in a match against Osasuna, who aren’t that far behind them. Mallorca face a tough match in their fight for survival against Rayo Vallecano. Celta Vigo have a great opportunity for a win against the bottom-ranked team, while the highlight of the day will be the match between Athletic Bilbao and third-placed Villarreal.

Below are our expert tips and predictions for each La Liga fixture on Sunday.

Today’s La Liga betting tips & predictions

Osasuna vs. Real Betis (1pm)

Real Betis' slump continues, as they failed to secure a win in the Europa League on Thursday, and a tough rematch awaits them next week. In La Liga, they haven’t won in nearly two months.

Osasuna have also been quite inconsistent, but a win here is crucial for their European ambitions. A victory is entirely possible given their home form, which includes eight matches without a loss (W5, D3).

Considering that Real Betis have a tough rematch against Braga coming up and their poor away form, we can take a chance on a home win in this match. If you want some safety, you can opt for the Draw No Bet option, as a draw is entirely possible in this matchup too. Even if Osasuna win, it will be very close.

Mallorca vs. Rayo Vallecano (3:15pm)

The managerial change has led to a noticeable improvement in Mallorca’s form, but the threat of relegation remains. Rayo Vallecano are a few spots higher in the standings, but another 1-2 wins wouldn’t go amiss.

Right now, the teams appear to be evenly matched. Rayo Vallecano are still competing in the UECL, with an important rematch next Thursday. This could affect their focus in this match and work in Mallorca’s favor.

Considering all factors, this looks like a perfect match for BTTS. Eight of Mallorca’s last 10 home games have featured goals for both teams, so we can expect their defence to concede at least one goal against Rayo.

Celta Vigo vs. Real Oviedo (5:30pm)

Real Oviedo have shown signs of improvement, and avoiding relegation is still a possibility with eight games remaining. Celta Vigo still have a lot of work to do if they want to play in Europe next year, so they can’t afford any more slip-ups.

After losing 3-0 to Freiburg in the first leg on Thursday, their rematch next week requires their best possible performance. They might not be fully focused on this match, but we expect them to go for the win to stay motivated.

Real Oviedo have started winning, but only at home. On the road, they continue to concede over two goals per game on average. However, they also score quite often, which leads us to a risky over 2.5 bet.

Celta Vigo vs. Real Oviedo top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

Athletic Bilbao vs. Villarreal (8pm)

Both Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal need to bounce back from their surprising losses in the last round, but this match is far more important for the hosts, who are aiming for a late push for a European spot.

Athletic Bilbao still haven’t regained their form and are six points out of the top six. With eight rounds remaining, it’s not too late, but they need to start winning immediately. They need to capitalize on Villarreal’s poor away form, as the Yellow Submarine have just one win in their last 10 away matches across all competitions.

We’re definitely in for a very tight contest, and we expect either a 1-0 or, at most, a 2-1 win.
