THE Swedish Allsvenskan makes a welcomed return on Wednesday evening and I'm hoping to pick up where I left off after landing five winners from seven across the last round of fixtures.
Helsingborg vs Kalmar (Wednesday 18:00)
Helsingborg boosted their bid to beat the drop with a fine 3-1 win over Djurgarden last time out and they will be looking for more of the same when they face fellow strugglers Kalmar on Wednesday evening.
Consequently, Olof Mellberg's men moved off the foot of the table and in doing so they leapfrogged an out-of-sorts Kalmar side who have won just one of their last 15 Swedish Allsvenskan assignments.
I've highlighted Helsingborgs's knack for racking up corners in recent weeks and I'm going to revisit a similar betting angle this midweek with the view to backing the hosts to hit five or more corners at 10/11 with Betway.
Helsingborg are hitting 5.2 corners per game this term and when digging a bit deeper it can be seen that Melberg's men have hit five or more corners in each of their last three fixtures.
What's more, Helsingborg's fixtures are featuring an average of 10.4 match corners per game this season – the second-highest in the division – and given their need for three points here I'm happy to back the hosts hit five plus corners yet again when they come up against Kalmar.
The visitors, meanwhile, are conceding 4.9 corners per game on average and their games are generating 10.4 match corners on average, all of which adds to the appeal of siding with the hosts to hit five or more corners.
It's also worth noting that the Red Ones hit an eye-catching total of five corners when they recently visited league leaders Malmo and they have hit seven corners in each of their last two Swedish top-flight tussles.
Indeed, a repeat on Wednesday night takes appeal at 11/4 with Sky Bet, however, for reasons already discussed, I'm happy to have a play on 5+ Helsingborg corners at 10/11 with Betway – a bet that has banked profit in four of Helsingborg's last six matches.
