BRITAIN'S Kyle Edmund is through to the last 16 of a Grand Slam for the first time and has nothing to lose when he gets a crack at the US Open defending champ tonight.

Edmund – who has impressed in taking out seeded stars Richard Gasquet and John Isner – now he takes on world No.1 Novak Djokovic and is 10-1 at 10bet to sink the Serb and 6-4 at bwin to win a set.

British women's No.1 Johanna Konta is also battling for a quarter-final place and is 2-7 at BetVictor to get past world No.48 Anastasija Sevastova (17-5, Marathonbet).

On the F1 front Lewis Hamilton took pole ahead of Nico Rosberg at the Italian Grand Prix and the reigning world champ is 3-10 favourite at Betfred for race glory.

There's plenty more sport worth a flutter today so as usual let's hear all your tips and chat.

    NFL Ante Post Bet 3

    Oakland Raiders to make the playoffs @ 5/4 @ 365/Betway – 4 points

Bookies have the top 8 AFC teams as follows.

    Patriots
    Steelers
    Chiefs
    Bengals
    Broncos
    Colts
    Texans
    Raiders

I genuinely think the Raiders could win their division, but it’ll be the Chiefs they’re competing with. The Broncos side was built to win that Super Bowl while they still had Peyton Manning, and now he’s gone, they’re making decisions like starting Trevor Siemian who only has one snap to his NFL career. He’s basically a rookie, and although they still have a good defense, they’ll need much more than a rookie to challenge for the playoffs. The Raiders narrowly missed out on a playoff place last season, and while they’ve got better, I believe others if the AFC have got worse. Top 8 teams get through so this makes sense to me as value even though the bookies have them at 8. Could finish much higher.

I’ve already posted the Packers NFC winner, and now I’m biting the bullet. They have shortened even more since Teddy Bridgewater’s injury earlier in the week, and I firmly believe they are the best NFC team this year. Some would argue the Panthers or Seahawks, and I would probably agree some days, but the Packers come into this season with the easiest schedule, a healthy team (for now) and a few new additions. Jordy Nelson is back and that’s a good thing for the Packers passing offense. We struggled badly without him and Rodgers favourite target will once again open up our offense. We could be back to putting up 30+ in most games if all goes to plan. The new addition of Jared Cook at Tight End is exciting, because Aaron Rodgers has not had an athletic Tight End since Jermichael Finley, who Rodgers targeted across the middle of the field much more than the Tight Ends he’s had over the previous seasons. Cook has already made waves in training camp and pre season and I can’t wait to see how they gel this year. No new additions at Running Back, but they might as well be. Eddie Lacy was talked about all season for being overweight, and this off-season he took a strict diet/training plan and shredded up to 20 lbs. The bruising back might not have as much weight, but he’ll be more nifty and I’ll hope he goes back to the production of his first two years at Green Bay. Obviously you need a lot of luck in these markets as injuries will have a major impact on a team at some point during their season, but I think for now, the Packers are the ones taking the Lombardi trophy back to Title Town.

    Green Bay Packers – Super Bowl Winners @ 17/2 @ Skybet – 2 points
