MY strongest antepost tip was Newcastle so I was worried when they started with two defeats in the Championship.

But boss Rafael Benitez didn't panic and he and his players have adjusted quickly to life outside the top flight by reeling off five wins in a row.

The best display came in midweek when they thrilled the Toon Army by thumping QPR 6-0 at Loftus Road with Benitez claiming there was more to come and one reporter describing it as the best away display in the history of the Championship.

That's a chilling warning to rivals and Wolves will fear the worse for today's trip to St James's after a 4-0 mauling at home to Barnsley in midweek.

Newcastle are a best 8-13 with William Hill and worth a look at 27-10 at Coral to win a sixth game in a row to nil. Another bet to consider for the fourth game running is Newcastle -1 at 3-1 with Coral.

Huddersfield were one of the sides to shock the Geordies and they remain top of the table. They face a hurting QPR and must be worth a look at 21-20 with Betfred.

Barnsley are another side going well and have netted 10 in three games including two 4-0 victories. They meet Reading who are unbeaten in four but this looks another home at 7-5 with William Hill.

One team not living up to expectations are Derby who are without a win and even worse have netted just once under Nigel Pearson. Bristol City tempt at 17-10 with William Hill for the home win although at some point County have to improve, especially in front of goal, or Pearo is history.

Moving from the Championship to the Premier League and there are just five matches today.

Man City have started the season impressively with seven wins and blew away Monchengladbach in the Champions League in midweek.

Hat-trick hero Sergio Aguero is banned today which will be a relief to Bournemouth who lost 5-1 at the Etihad last season.

Even without the Argentine hitman City should win well and best bet could be City and both to score at 9-5 with 888sport as their three league games have gone that way.

Leicester shone on their Champions League debut with boss Claudio Ranieri saying the theme tune had woken his players up after a shoddy start to the season.

Now they've got going back the Foxes to beat Burnley at home at 4-7 with sportingbet and try Riyad Mahrez, who hit a double in Bruges, to score at 7-4 with Betfred.

Everton have won four in a row under Ronald Koeman and should make it five at home to Middlesbrough. They are 4-6 at McBookie but best bet could be Romelu Lukaku to follow up his hat-trick at Sunderland by netting first at 4-1 with Coral.
