IT'S been another great week for punters backing goals and there are plenty of matches this weekend where we should see plenty of goals.
I usually focus on French ligue 2 on a Friday night but its a poor card so have looked elsewhere and found two games along with total goals in the Dutch Eerste Divisie
Selectabet and I have also recorded this weekends Gambla Betting Podcast with three tips from Scotland – give it a listen.
Ayr United vs Dundee (KO 7.05pm)
The bookies have Dundee as big as 11/5 for this match I get why, but its worth noting this isn't Ian McCalls Ayr United, they've lost their last two matches since he left and with a Mark Kerr being appointed as player/manager, for me it has disaster written all over it.
That's not to be disrespectful to Kerr, its just how often do we see player/manager appointments work? Will the players respect him and work for him?
Its probably not a game to touch given Dundee's away form has been brutal but the honest men have been far from convincing recently and are shipping goals and Dundee do have plenty of attacking threats – The visitors are more than capable of scoring.
Nantes vs Monaco (KO 7.45pm)
I was on the visitors last weekend to score 2+ goals which landed in a 3-2 home win and tonight they travel to early season surprise package Nantes who incredibly despite scoring a paltry 9 goals in 10 games find themselves occupying 2nd position.
Nantes have been water tight at the back having conceded just 6 goals with 5 of their 6 wins ending up 1-0 and at home they have yet to concede in 5 matches.
Monaco despite their lowly position in the league they are the second highest scoring side with 18 goals (12 more than Nantes) however, they have the worst defensive record.
They can thank 40m euro’s signing Wissam Ben Yedder for their goal scoring exploits. The Turkish internationalist has been a revelation since signing from Seville in the summer. He's scored in 6 consecutive matches and already has 8 goals for the season.
Interesting that Monaco are 6/4 favourites for this match despite being 12 places below Nantes – Monaco have won 10 of the last 12 meetings (just one defeat) and with Ben Yedder spearheading their attack, you have to fancy Nantes's clean sheet record to end.
Recommended Bets:
- Dundee to Score / Monaco to Score
- 4/5 (Marathonbet) (NAP)
- Ben Yedder to score anytime
- 13/8 (Bet365)
Dutch Eerste Divisie – 10 matches 7pm
I like the look of this weekends fixtures and we should see plenty of goals – 33+ goals has landed in 3 of the last 4 weeks and I'm taking that total to be reached again
Recommended Bet:
- 33+ goals to be scored
- 8/11 (Skybet)
