Saturdays top tips 2

This could be a big day in the Premier League title race, with the top three all in action and Arsenal looking a bit vulnerable as they head to Newcastle.

The Gunners have dropped five points behind leaders Manchester City after a poor run of results and still have some key players missing with injury.

More dropped points would leave them with a mountain to climb and the lunchtime clash at St James' Park is a potential banana skin.

Newcastle have already held Manchester City to a draw on Tyneside this season and warmed up for Arsenal's visit by beating Chelsea at home in the EFL Cup.

Newcastle v Arsenal top betting tips

The Gunners have William Saliba back from a ban but are sweating on the fitness of sidekick Gabriel and Ben White. They have conceded in their last five league games so Newcastle's attack could get a bit of joy.

Alexander Isak's return has lifted the Magpies and the Swede has netted in the last two games. He's 6/4 to either score or assist today and that looks pretty good value if Eddie Howe deems him fit enough to start again.

Bruno Guimaraes is always in the thick of the midfield battle and he's 5/6 at Bet365 to commit over 1.5 fouls. The odds are longer for the Brazilian to go in the book as that pays 2/1 with Betano.

AFC Bournemouth v Manchester City top betting tips

Leaders Manchester City also look a little bit at risk of dropping points as they head to Bournemouth in the midst of an injury crisis.

Pep Guardiola had to field lots of kids in midweek as City lost in the EFL Cup to Tottenham but Erling Haaland's return up front will be a great leveller.

The Cherries have already beaten Arsenal at home so they won't have an inferiority complex going up against champions.

Bournemouth have won six or more corners in all their home games this term so over 4.5 home corners appeals at 6/5 with Bet365.

Bernardo Silva's creativity will be key for City and he's a tempting 4/1 to provide an assist. I also like the 11/10 on offer at Bet365 for the playmaker to have a shot on target.

Liverpool v Brighton and Hove Albion top betting tips

Liverpool have still lost just once under new boss Arne Slot and did well to emerge from the Emirates with a point after last week's 2-2 thriller.

They host Brighton today and it's another test of their title credentials, with the Seagulls boasting strikers who will give the Anfield defence some problems.

This has the potential to be a cracker and over 3.5 strikes pays evens with Betano. Backing over 1.5 first-half goals also appeals at the same price with Bet365.

Kaoru Mitoma will be a threat on the counter attack for Brighton and I like the 11/10 at Bet365 for the winger to have a shot on target.

Aberdeen v Celtic top betting tips

It's League Cup semi-final weekend in Scotland and the action kicks off with a cracker between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden.

Only goal difference is keeping the Hoops above Jimmy Thelin's side in the Premiership after the Dons claimed a statement win over Rangers in midweek.

They also came from 2-0 down to claim a Parkhead point and these sides battled out a 3-3 thriller in the Scottish Cup semis last term. That suggests we will see goals at both ends this evening and combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays 51/50 in a bet builder at Betano.

Going for cards paid off for me in Aberdeen's clash with Rangers and this one could be spicy too. Sivert Nilsen has collected six yellows already this term and is 13/8 with Bet365 to go in the book. Combining that with a card for Dons midfield sidekick Graeme Shinnie boosts the odds to 11/2.

Saturday's Football Tips: Super singles

  • Bruno Guimaraes to be carded 2/1 Betano
  • Kaoru Mitoma over 0.5 shots on target 11/10 Be365
  • Over 2.5 goals and BTTS in Celtic v Aberdeen 51/50 Betano

Long shot

  • Bernardo Silva assist 4/1 Bet365

Nice one elvis! I had this in a double with Gaming to finish in the top 2 at Del Mar. Waited a very long time for this match to finish though.
