Ligue 1 has proven to be one of the most competitive leagues this season, with the battle for the title and European spots set to go down to the wire.
Three matches are on the schedule for Saturday, with Marseille visiting Lorient in the first game, aiming to hold onto their spot in the top four. The later matches will feature several teams that still need to secure their survival.

Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions
Lorient vs. Marseille (4pm)
Marseille secured the three crucial points against Metz following two consecutive losses and remain in the top four. However, they need to finish third to qualify directly for the Champions League.
Lorient are once again in poor form, and we can safely say they have almost no chance of reaching Europe, despite their earlier prospects. Still, they remain one of the strongest home teams, having lost only once at home this season.
It won’t be easy for Marseille at all, but they haven’t lost any of their last nine matches at this stadium. Still, given their poor away form at the moment, we expect a draw with goals from both teams.

Angers vs. Le Havre (6pm)
Angers and Le Havre are neck and neck in the standings, but the hosts hold a four-point lead and could likely secure their survival with just one more win.
Given that Le Havre have earned only seven points on the road this season (W1, D4, L9), that seems quite possible as early as Saturday. Still, we shouldn’t overlook the fact that Angers haven’t scored a single goal in their last three home games. But two of those were against teams in the top four.
Le Havre won the reverse fixture 2-1. We expect Angers to get their revenge here, though we’re predicting a result like 1-0. Still, we don’t recommend betting on under 2.5 goals, because these relegation types of matches can surprise with goals.

Lille vs Nice (8:05pm)
Lille are the team in the best form in Ligue 1, and this will be a serious problem for Nice, who are still far from safety.
The Mastiffs won their fourth consecutive match, once again dominating and scoring four goals against Toulouse. Their last league loss was on February 1. Nice, on the other hand, have faltered yet again and have just one win in five matches (D1, L3).
In all three of their losses, they conceded 3+ goals. Although they won the reverse fixture against Lille (2-0), we expect the Mastiffs to dominate from start to finish here.
