The Bundesliga continues with its regular schedule of six matches on Saturday, with fixtures from all corners of the table in store for us.

The big questions, of course, are at the top of the table, where we’re used to seeing Bayern Munich, but now Freiburg are there instead. Will things stay this way, or will the Bavarians reclaim their usual position?

Don’t miss a moment of Saturday’s Bundesliga action with our expert tips and predictions.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions

Elversberg vs. Augsburg (2:30pm)

Following a strong start to the season, Elversberg’s form has begun to decline, and they are now winless in their last three matches. Interestingly, they are one of the best teams defensively, but are currently struggling in attack.

Similarly, Augsburg got off to a phenomenal start, but have now gone three matches without a win. However, they have drawn with Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, so it’s hard to judge them too harshly.

Elversberg have struggled in their away matches, but they score plenty of goals at home. Augsburg are in superb form in front of goal, but their defence concedes almost as many. In my view, we’re in for a tight match with plenty of goals.

Elversberg vs. Augsburg top betting tip: BTTS, Over 2.5 goals

Hamburger vs. Stuttgart (2:30pm)

It remains to be seen whether Stuttgart’s form is back for good, but after back-to-back wins without conceding a goal, they are certainly motivated and in the mood for more.

Hamburger have also won their last two matches and will be looking to secure three consecutive wins in the top flight for the first time in over nine years. Given how poorly Stuttgart were defending until a few matchdays ago, the home side may score goals.

No fewer than 12 of the last 13 matches between the two sides have ended with over 2.5 goals, and in 11 of those, both teams scored.

Schalke vs. Mainz (2:30pm)

It could be said that Schalke have exceeded expectations, at least when it comes to not losing matches since their return to the top flight, but we certainly cannot praise them for their wins, as they have only managed one.

So far, only Paderborn have scored fewer goals than them in the league. By comparison, Mainz have scored over three times as many goals as them, but defensively they are among the weakest teams in the league.

Interestingly, the 05ers have played their best matches so far away from home, with 4–3 and 5–0 victories over Monchengladbach and Hamburger respectively. There’s a huge risk, but in my view, 6/5 for a win is worth a go.

Schalke vs. Mainz top betting tip: Mainz to win

Union Berlin vs. Borussia Dortmund (2:30pm)

Union Berlin have finally secured their first win of the season, but we can hardly praise them given that it came against one of the league’s newcomers.

Borussia Dortmund suffered a surprise defeat to Bodo in the Champions League and will certainly be keen to get back to winning ways. The fact that they have won eight of their last 10 matches against Union Berlin is also significant.

I believe Union Berlin are far from having resolved their problems, and this recent victory will not mark the start of a strong run. I’ll be backing Borussia Dortmund, who have a real chance of finishing the round at the top of the table.

Werder Bremen vs. Paderborn (2:30pm)

Werder Bremen will be fighting for a place in the top four when they host newly promoted Paderborn, who are still searching for consistency in the top flight.

The River Islanders have suffered just one defeat since the start of the season, having also recorded good results against Dortmund (2–2) and RB Leipzig (3–1). The key factor for them is that they are exceptionally strong at home.

Paderborn have yet to score a goal away from home this season. Although it is entirely possible that this could happen in this very match, I believe that 3/4 for Werder Bremen is a price we cannot afford to miss.

Werder Bremen vs. Paderborn top betting tip: Werder Bremen to win

Bayern Munich vs. RB Leipzig (5:30pm)

The highlight clash of the day pits two of the league’s strongest home sides against each other. The problem for RB Leipzig, however, is that whilst they may be the highest-scoring home side, they are also one of the three weakest away teams in the league.

Bayern Munich suffered an embarrassing draw against Viking in the Champions League, which will likely see them take it out on RB. Having won four consecutive home matches against the Red Bulls, it’s hard to imagine anything different happening here.

Moreover, the Bavarians didn’t win their last Bundesliga match either. A third consecutive match without a win seems highly unlikely, and I reckon they’ll win by a comfortable margin.

Bayern Munich vs. RB Leipzig top betting tip: Bayern to win by a -1 handicap
