TOTTENHAM'S title hopes have suffered a blow in December and they badly need a win at Wolves to stop falling further down the Premier League table.
The last three league games have yielded just a point for Spurs, with a draw at Crystal Palace followed by defeats to Liverpool and Leicester.
I fancied Jose Mourinho's men to get back on track at home to the Foxes but Serge Aurier stupidly gave away a penalty, bringing up another of my tips, and it set the stage for a 2-0 loss.
Tottenham managed to stop the rot with a League Cup win at Stoke in midweek but won't get it so easily at Molineux, where only Manchester City and Aston Villa have managed to win in the league this season.
Wolves beat title-cashing Chelsea in their last home game but that's their only win in the last four matches, summing up the inconsistency that has left them sitting in mid-table.
Boss Nuno Espirito Santo has banned his players from going to the supermarket but his Wolves will be hungry to feast on a festive win.
How the bookies view it
Despite their recent wobble, Tottenham are the favourites here at a best 23/18 with SBK, who price Wolves at 45/17 and the stalemate 12/5.
Recent head to head
Home advantage has counted for nothing in this fixture of late, with the away team winning in the last four meetings. Last season, Spurs edged it 2-1 at Molineux thanks to a late goal from Jan Vertonghen (below) before Wolves got their revenge with a 3-2 triumph in London.
Players to watch
Wolves are missing the goals of top scorer Raul Jimenez and that could prove pivotal here. But I've been impressed by Daniel Podence so far this season and he's a decent 17/5 with 888Sport for anytime scorer.
Harry Kane let me down when I tipped him to fill his boots against Leicester but he's still the main man for Spurs. The England striker is 6/4 with BetVictor for a goal and that looks good value.
Anything else catch the eye?
This game has delivered plenty of goals of late, with over 2.5 goals trapping in the last four meetings. A repeat pays 6/5 at McBookie.
It has also been pretty fiery, with an average of five cards in those last four games. Over 3.5 cards here is priced 4/5 at McBookie and that's worth a look.
