Rangers will look to keep pace with the top two in the Scottish Premiership as they welcome St Mirren to Ibrox on Tuesday night.
Rangers bounced back from their defeat away at Premiership leaders Hearts, as they ground out a 1-0 victory over Motherwell to leapfrog them in the table and cut the gap to the Jambos to nine points with a game in hand.
Danny Rohl has now won seven of his 10 Premiership encounters since taking charge of the Teddy Bears (W7-D2-L1), including four out of five at Ibrox (W4-D1-L0).
St Mirren failed to make it three wins on the bounce in the Scottish Premiership as they played out a goalless draw at home to struggling Kilmarnock.
That result leaves the Buddies in ninth position in the table, seven points outside of the top six and only five points clear of the relegation playoff spot.
How the bookies view it: Rangers favourites
Rangers are favourites to follow up their victory over Motherwell on Saturday, with bet365 pricing a home success at 3/5.
Bet365 have St Mirren as 9/2 outsiders to claim just their second away victory of the season, whilst the draw is 3/1.
Head to head: Four unbeaten for the Buddies
St Mirren are unbeaten in each of their previous four meetings with Rangers (W2-D2-L0), winning 0-2 on their last visit to Ibrox back in February.
Players to watch: Late Christmas card for Alex?
Alex Gogic is no stranger to a referee’s notebook, with the Cypriot international picking up five yellow and one red card across his 14 appearances in the Premiership this season.
The ex-Hibs man has also been booked in each of his last two appearances against Rangers, and I like the 19/10 on offer at Coral/Ladbrokes for him to be shown a card at Ibrox on Tuesday.

Predicted line-ups:
Rangers will be missing a few players here, with Derek Cornelius, Oliver Antman, Nedim Bajrami and Bailey Rice all injured, and Nasser Djiga, who is away at AFCON.
St Mirren will be without the injured Keanu Baccus, but captain Mark O’Hara is available again.
Rangers: Butland, Tavernier, Sterling, Souttar, Meghoma, Barron, Raskin, Moore, Aasgaard, Gassama, Miovski
St Mirren: George, Fraser, King, Freckleton, Gogic, McMenamin, Phillips, O’Hara, John, Nlundulu, Ayunga
Anything else catch the eye?
As alluded to, Rangers bounced back from their defeat at leaders Hearts by beating Motherwell 1-0 at Ibrox on Saturday, and will look to keep the pressure on both Hearts and Celtic on Tuesday night.
Danny Rohl has won seven of his 10 Premiership encounters since taking charge of the Ibrox club – including four out of five at Ibrox (W4-D1-L0) – keeping clean sheets in six of their last nine.
All seven of those victories have featured fewer than five goals – and given the same has landed in all seven of St Mirren’s league defeats this season – I like the 10/11 on offer at Coral/Ladbrokes on a Rangers Win & Under 4.5 Goals.
