PSG return to action against Toulouse in this round's early match on Friday with no room for error, just days before their Champions League quarterfinal home match against Liverpool.
Every matchday in Ligue 1 feels like a final right now, because PSG and Lens are neck and neck, separated by just one point. The Parisians have a game in hand, but they aren’t immune to mistakes, as we saw in the match against Monaco.
Still, that was their first home loss of the season, so there’s certainly no cause for serious concern.
Toulouse, meanwhile, managed to climb into the top half of the table with two wins in their last two matches, but the team is destined to finish around that position. The European spots are nine points away with seven rounds remaining.
How the bookies view it: Heavy home advantage at Parc des Princes
Bookmakers don’t expect Toulouse to be able to hold their own against PSG in this match, offering very high odds on an upset.
Currently, you can back PSG at 3/10, while Toulouse are available at 9/1. Alternatively, the draw is priced at 9/2.
Recent head-to-head: PSG – 8; Toulouse -1
Like most teams in the French top flight, Toulouse usually struggle against PSG, and their H2Hs are almost guaranteed points for the Parisians.
The champions have eight wins in their last 10 matches against the Violets, including a spectacular 6-3 victory in the reverse clash this season.
However, Toulouse do have one H2H win dating back to November 2024, which came at the Parc des Princes with an impressive 3-1 victory.
Players to watch: Neves will be eager to face the Violets again
21-year-old Joao Neves is by no means one of PSG’s regular goal scorers, and he has struggled with injuries all season that have kept him sidelined. But he will certainly be eager to return to action against Toulouse.
The young Portuguese player has scored eight Ligue 1 goals since joining PSG a season and a half ago, with four of them coming against Toulouse. When the teams met in the reverse fixture in August, Neves scored a hat trick for the 6-3 victory.

Probable line-ups
Paris Saint-Germain: Safonov, Mendes, Pacho, Zabarnyi, Hakimi, Vitinha, Fernandez, Zaire-Emery, Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Doue
Toulouse: Restes, McKenzie, Nicolaisen, Cresswell, Donnum, Diop, Casseres, Sidibe, Russell-Rowe, Gboho, Emersonn
Anything else catch the eye?
The recent home loss to Monaco seems to have had a rather positive effect on PSG, as they immediately picked up the pace and started playing significantly better. In their last three matches, they’ve scored a total of 12 goals, eight of which came in the two games against Chelsea.
Toulouse also won their last two matches, but their opponents were far less formidable. Given that they have only one away win against PSG since 2010, it’s hard to expect anything other than a convincing home victory.
The champions will have enough rest days before their match against Liverpool, so Luis Enrique can afford to field his best starting lineup.
