ARSENAL'S season has spluttered somewhat to a disappointing end and they could eventually concede an inevitable title defeat this week at Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners can still point to a season that practically no one saw coming and it will be anything but a disgrace to finish second to an outstanding Manchester City side.
But they will be deeply disappointed with the way they ran out of steam after looking so impressive for so long and last week's 3-0 home defeat to Brighton had the feeling of a game too far for them.
However, they looked classy enough in their 2-0 way at high-flying Newcastle United the previous week.
For hosts Forest, they are currently three points clear of the relegation zone with two games left, but daren't risk a trip to Crystal Palace on the final day of the season needing something to survive.
They are two different teams this season – a respectable mid-table on their home form and bottom on away form with just one win on the road from Nottinghamshire all season.
They've collected some notable scalps at their home ground and even Manchester City failed to win here, so it should be a tricky encounter for Mikel Arteta's team.
How the bookies view this
Arsenal are odds-on favourites here at 4/7 with Coral, while Nottingham Forest can be backed at 9/2 with bet365. The draw is 7/2 with Betfred.
Recent head to heads
Arsenal thumped Forest 5-0 back in October, but Forest did beat Arsenal 1-0 in an FA Cup last season at the City Ground.
This is their first league meeting at Forest's home since 1999.
Players to watch
Taiwo Awoniyi was Forest's hero in their last game in London when his double rescued a point against Chelsea. He is 3/1 to score anytime with bet365.
Martin Odegaard has been in excellent form the Gunners with five goals in his last six games. The Norwegian star is 5/2 to score anytime with bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
Arsenal look far too short against a Forest side battling for their lives and who give everything at a packed City Ground. The obvious call here is the hosts on the double chance or draw at 29/20 with BetVictor.
Forest have gone goal crazy recently too in their games and have been involved in 23 goals in their last seven matches. There should be plenty here too with Forest expected to go for it.
Go for over 3.5 goals with bet365 at 6/4 in what should be an entertaining contest.
