MANCHESTER UNITED will be desperate to banish the memories of their Tottenham battering when they return to Premier League action with a trip to Newcastle.
The Red Devils were left to stew over the international break as they licked their wounds from that incredible 6-1 loss to Jose Mourinho's men.
My tip of a penalty to be awarded came up early on in that game but my prediction of Mourinho parking the bus was miles off as his players ripped United apart following Anthony Martial's red card.
That made it back-to-back home defeats for the Red Devils in the league and they need to bounce back at St James' Park as they head into a demanding run of massive games.
After Newcastle, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men face PSG, Chelsea, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Istanbul Basaksehir and Everton, a run that will make or break their season.
First they need to take care of the Magpies and that won't be easy as Steve Bruce's men have lost just one of their first seven games this season.
Bruce has recruited well and has enough firepower to cause Solskjaer's dodgy defence a few problems in what should be an intriguing game.

I'm surprised to see Manchester United as odds-on favourites after their dismal start to the season and they're a best 7/10 at William Hill. A few punters will fancy a bet on Newcastle at 4/1 with BetVictor while the draw is 13/4 at 888Sport.
Recent head to head
Manchester United lost 1-0 at St James' Park last term (below) and have only come out on top once in their last four visits to Tyneside. But the Magpies won't have the advantage of a partisan crowd this time and United have won four and drawn one of the last five meetings at Old Trafford.
Players to watch
Allan Saint-Maximin was outstanding in Newcastle's last game as he terrorised Burnley and the maverick Frenchman could cause United a few problems. He delivered at 6-1 when I tipped him to score against Sheffield United back in June and is 11/2 with 888Sport to net here after agreeing a new six-year deal in midweek.
With Martial suspended, Marcus Rashford will probably take a more central role for Manchester United and appeals at 7/4 with BetVictor for anytime scorer.
Anything else catch the eye?
Clashes between these sides at St James' Park haven't been thrillers of late, with under 2.5 goals coming up on United's last three visits. A repeat here pays 23/20 at 888Sport and might be worth a punt, even though United's five matches this term have produced 22 goals.
