NETHERLANDS will be looking to guarantee top spot in Group G when they conclude their World Cup qualifying campaign against Norway on Tuesday night.
Louis Van Gaal's side can't afford to rest on their laurels after throwing away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Montenegro on Saturday night.
The Oranje currently hold a two-point lead at the top of the section, two points clear of Turkey and Norway who are both locked on 18 points.
However, the hosts will assure themselves of a first-placed finish with a win on Tuesday night, while a point would almost certainly put Holland on the plane to Qatar.
Norway, on the other hand, have much work to do if they are to qualify for next year's World Cup following a damaging 0-0 draw with Latvia in Oslo last time out.
That setback means Ståle Solbakken's side will have to take something from their final fixture and hope for Montenegro to do them a turn against Turkey
Outright Betting
Netherlands have not tasted defeat since Louis Van Gaal began his third stint as national boss and fourth home win on the spin is heavily fancied here at 4/9 with SBK.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the start of September and the same outcome on Tuesday night is trading at 39/10 (SBK) while a Norwegian triumph can be backed at 32/5 (SBK) with the same bookmaker.
Betting Angles
Netherlands are worthy favourites here but they are unlikely to have things all their own way so I'm going to swerve the match result market and instead head to Bet 365‘s Bet Builder.
If we combine over one Netherlands goal and under two Norway goals we can get some 4/5 (Bet 365) and that looks like a nice way in.
The Oranje have produced the majority of their best work on home turf during this qualifying campaign, posting a perfect four wins from ahead of their final pool fixture on Tuesday night.
During that sample of home games, the Dutch have notched up two or more strikes on each occasion and I fancy the hosts to repeat the trick given that Norway are going to have to throw caution to the wind at some stage.
That said, the Lions will be without their talisman Erling Haaland, not to mention the Nordic nation have scored just 15 goals across their opening nine Group G assignments.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that the aforementioned Bet Builder has banked in Holland's last three home games, I'm more than happy to support the same formula in Rotterdam on Tuesday night.
I'll also dip into the anytime goalscorer market and take the 19/20 on offer with SportNation for Netherlands forward Memphis Depay to make the net bulge.
The Barcelona forward is the 11-goal top scorer in qualifying and he is also on penalties which is always an added incentive when delving into this market.
