Manchester United Women will be hoping to make it three wins from three in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) when they entertain PSG Women on Wednesday night.
Indeed, the Red Devils have started with a pair of 1-0 wins in the league phase so far, beating both Atletico Madrid Women and Valerenga Women respectively. However, they slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa Women on home soil in the Women’s Super League (WSL) over the weekend, denting their hopes of wrestling the title off of reigning champions Chelsea Women.
Nonetheless, United Women had been in great form before that, winning four matches in a row in total across all competitions. PSG Women are on a three-game winning streak themselves in all competitions though, and so may prove tough opponents for the hosts.
If the previous H2Hs are anything to go by, this clash will be a close one to call. Indeed, both teams have won once and there has been one draw in the previous three meetings in all competitions, but how will this one pan out?

How the bookies view it: United Women favourites
United Women have been installed as 4/9 odds-on favourites with BoyleSports to claim all three points on home soil. A draw can still be backed at 14/5 odds with the same bookmaker, while PSG Women are judged to be 4/1 outsiders.
Recent head-to-head: PSG Women victorious on home soil
PSG Women won 3-1 on home soil in the most recent meeting in this competition in 2023. Lieke Martens scored a brace alongside Sandy Baltimore for the hosts, while Lisa Naalsund netted a consolation goal for United Women.
Players to watch: Earps returns to old hunting ground
French forward Melvine Malard will pose a threat for United Women against a number of her international teammates.
Mary Earps returns to her former club after the PSG Women star recently made headlines for some controversial comments towards fellow Lioness goalkeeper Hannah Hampton.
Predicted lineups
Dominique Janssen is suspended after getting sent off in United Women’s last UWCL fixture.
PSG Women have reported no fresh injury concerns or suspensions ahead of this clash.
Manchester United Women: Tullis-Joyce (GK); Sandberg, George, Le Tissier, Riviere; Toone, Naalsund, Miyazawa; Rolfo, Terland, Malard.
PSG Women: Earps (GK); Carmona, Samoura, Mbock, De Almeida; Elimbi, Diakite, Karchaoui, Echegini, Ajibade; Kanjinga.
Anything else catch the eye?
United Women should win given home advantage, but PSG Women could cause problems on current form. A home win and Both Teams To Score (BTTS) can be backed at 21/10 odds with BoyleSports.
It could be a slow start though, with just one first-half goal scored across the previous three H2Hs. BoyleSports are offering the same odds for a goalless first half.
In a similar vein, a draw at HT can also be backed at 5/4 odds with the same bookmaker. This covers the potential 0-0 as well as any other level scoreline.
