MANCHESTER UNITED will look to secure their place in next season's Champions League when they face Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
The Red Devils are on the brink of once again taking their seat at Europe's top table following back-to-back wins over Wolves and Bournemouth.
That pair of victories coupled with results elsewhere mean that Erik ten Hag's team only need one point from their remaining two games to rubber stamp a top-four finish.
United will therefore look to do just that at the earliest opportunity when they entertain Chelsea this midweek.
The beleaguered Blues were consigned to a bottom half finish in the the Premier League for the first time since 1996 following Sunday's 1-0 loss at champions Manchester City.
That latest setback means Frank Lampard's side are stumbling towards the finish line with nothing but pride to play for going into their final two games of the season.

Manchester United are odds-on 8/13 (Bet 365) favourites to make it five Premier League home wins in succession.
Chelsea, who have won just once in nine outings since Frank Lampard returned to the club, make the trip north as 4/1 (William Hill) outsiders while the draw is an unfancied 18/5 (UniBet).
Betting Angles
Manchester United are worthy favourites here but I'm going to opt for a more cautious approach and merge Man United Double Chance and Under Four Match Goals at 4/5 (Bet 365).
The Red Devils’ have done the majority of their best work at home this season, with only Manchester City and Liverpool accumulating more points on their own respective patches.
That being said, Erik ten Hag’s side have been running along in solid, if unspectacular fashion, with 16 of their 17 outings on home turf featuring less than four match strikes.
As for Chelsea, goals have been a premium in their Premier League contests this season, with 21 of their 36 matches going under the 2.5 goal barrier, not to mention the shot-shy Blues have failed to score in almost 40% of their league games to date.
Taking all of this into account, I'm more than happy to couple up the hosts to avoid defeat in a game that produces three goals or fewer.

The Spaniard was fortunate not to go into the book at the Etihad on Sunday and he looks worthy of interest to tackle his way into trouble here given that he is likely to be operating in the same vicinity as Jadon Sancho.
