Man City and Chelsea will step up their preparations for the new season on Saturday when they meet at the Ohio Stadium.
It's been a mixed pre-season for Chelsea so far, with the Blues winning one, drawing one and losing one. Their first win under Enzo Maresca came in their most recent match against Club America.
Man City's pre-season has been even worse with Pep Guardiola's men yet to taste victory across the three matches they've played.
Ahead of their clash in Ohio, here is our Chelsea vs Man City prediction.
How the bookies view it: City are the favourites
Despite their poor form during pre-season, the bookies still consider Man City as the favourites for this match. The Citizens are still missing countless important players, including Kyle Walker, John Stones, Rodri and Keven de Bruyne which makes Chelsea's price of 21/10 with Betfred very appealing.
Man City are priced as the 21/20 favourites with Betfred while the draw is priced at 12/5.
Recent head-to-head: Advantage Man City
Man City have a very good recent record against Chelsea with Pep Guardiola's men unbeaten in their last nine matches against the London club. Last season, they met on three occasions with the two league fixtures ending in score draws before City beat Chelsea at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Chelsea's last win over Man City came in the 2021 Champions League when Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game late in the first half.
Players to watch: England men with points to prove
Man City's Jack Grealish and Chelsea's Raheem Sterling were both controversial absentees from the England Euro 2024 squad this summer which makes the season ahead a big one for both players if they still harbour ambitions on the international stage.
Grealish had a poor season for his club last season and faces strong competition from Jeremy Doku in his favoured left-wing role. He currently looks in good shape after working on his fitness all summer and got on the score sheet last time out against Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Sterling had to endure a season in and out of the team under Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentinian's departure from the club has given Sterling another chance of succeeding at Stamford Bridge, particularly as his replacement is a man he worked with at Man City.
Predicted line-ups
No big names from the Euros or Copa America have joined up with the Man City squad for the last leg of their US Tour so it will be the same pool of players again for Pep Guardiola. Enzo Fernandez has joined up with the Chelsea squad after winning the Copa America and is expected to feature on Saturday.
Man City: Ederson – Lewis, Phillips, Gvardiol, Wilson-Esbrand – Kovacic, O'Reilly – Bobb, McAtee, Grealish – Haaland
Chelsea: Jorgensen – James, Fofana, Adarabioyo, Chilwell – Lavia, Dewsbury-Hall – Nkunka, Madueke, Sterling – Guiu
Anything else catch the eye?
All three of Man City's pre-season fixtures have been crackers with a minimum of four goals scored in each one. Chelsea's pre-season has been similar with two of their three matches seeing 4+ goals go in. Over 3.5 goals to be scored in priced at 6/5 with Betfred.
