LIVERPOOL will look to continue their fine start to the season when Crystal Palace visit Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp's side have made a decent start to the Premier League after three wins and a home draw against Chelsea and these are the type of games where a slip-up is out of the question if they are going to challenge again.
They will be up against a Crystal Palace side who achieved an outstanding result of their own last week when they walloped Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park, albeit a Spurs side who were reduced to ten men.
That followed on from an impressive 2-2 draw at another London club, West Ham and it's been a decent-enough start for new manager Patrick Vieira.
Liverpool were in midweek action against AC Milan in the Champions League and showed plenty of guts to recover from losing two goals in a minute to win 3-2 in an entertaining opening encounter.
How the bookies view it
It's a penalty kick for Liverpool according to the bookies – they are 1/5 across the board, although Novibet have gone out on something of a limb by going 1/4.
Palace are a staggering 31/2 with SBK which probably still won't get too many takers. The draw is 6/1 with Paddy Power.
Recent head to heads
Liverpool absolutely loved a game against Palace last season. They beat them 2-0 at Anfield as seen below, but also cruised to an embarrassingly one-sided 7-0 annihilation in London.
They even won 4-0 in the previous game too and have won the last eight fixtures between the sides.
Players to watch
With Mo Salah a best-priced 4/6 to score anytime at Anfield, the value has to be elsewhere and Sadio Mane has a chance at 5/4 after coming off the bench in midweek. Mane missed a barrel load of chances against Leeds United at Elland Road last week, but he's better than that and is 5/4 to net with BetVictor.
Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard announced his arrival in English football in considerable syle last week by coming off the bench and netting two goals in six minutes. Not bad for a player from a ‘pub league!' That should earn him a start on Merseyside and he is 4/1 to score again.
Anything else catch the eye?
Liverpool look the real deal again and now boast a competent defence under the stewardship of Virgil van Dijk. They are obviously far too short to back on their own, but Palace appear to be a team who will have a go at least.
They've netted five goals against West Ham and Spurs and Liverpool are a team whose style does give the opposition chances. Therefore the Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 15/8 with Boylesports is the better option for being on their side.
Liverpool have won 15, 11 and 12 corners on their own in their last three games. Palace won three and two on their visits to West Ham and Chelsea, therefore the 6/5 with bet365 for the hosts to win the corner count minus five should trap.
