It is a battle for supremacy in Group D of the UEFA Champions League as Inter Milan host Real Sociedad with both teams already through to the knockout phase. Real Sociedad have been in lock-step with Inter Milan Group D and even have a superior goal difference to the Italians. The Spaniards are also yet to taste defeat in the competition, although they were held to a 0-0 draw by Salzburg last time out.
While Real Sociedad are not setting the pace in La Liga, they can still be pleased with their overall campaign so far. Imanol Alguacil’s men have lost just once in their last 12 matches across all competitions, claiming eight wins in that run, including a 3-0 victory at Villarreal last Saturday.
The win at Villarreal highlights a solid for Real Sociedad on their travels as they are unbeaten in their last seven away matches across all competitions. They have picked up five wins in that run and will be feeling confident heading to San Siro.
