Chelsea vs Man United

, KO: 19:30 Feb 18, 2019, Stamford Bridge
Man United

THIS last-16 showdown is a repeat of last season's FA Cup Final – Chelsea edged it 1-0 – and both clubs are now led by new managers who face an uncertain future.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is under increasing pressure and currently the odds-on favourite in the Premier League sack race as he struggles to implement his style of play at Stamford Bridge.

Two recent heavy away defeats – 4-0 at Bournemouth and 6-0 at Man City – have set alarm bells ringing among the Blues hierarchy and rumours abound that Sarri has lost the dressing room.

The Italian, no stranger to publicly slating his players, should just about to hang on to his job until summer and the main priority this is season is the top four, with the Blues two places and one point adrift of that spot currently occupied by Man United.

Sarri can ill afford an FA Cup exit to add to his woes and guiding the Blues into the quarter-finals would be a much-needed step in the right direction.

Blocking their path is a United side led by caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who's looking to enhance his chances of landing the Old Trafford job full-time this summer.

United's 2-0 Champions League loss to PSG last week was a sobering reality check of how far they've fallen from the real elite clubs.

Still, it was Solskjaer's first defeat after 10 wins and a draw and there's still plenty of optimism at Old Trafford with the Norwegian having lifted the gloom following the dour Jose Mourinho reign.

Considering the Red Devils' red-hot form under Solskjaer it's surprising them as big as 11-4 underdogs here, with the draw the same price and Chelsea 11-10.

United, with Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford flourishing, have won all six away games under Solskjaer including a gritty 1-0 league success at Spurs and 3-1 romp at Arsenal in the previous round.

They can exploit Chelsea's frailties and lack of confidence and I like United not to lose at 5-6 with Marathonbet.

Rashford has netted in four of his last five away games and catches the eye at 12-5 with Unibet to score any time while Chelsea's Eden Hazard – whose penalty settled the final last season – isn't a bad bet either at 17-10.

Both teams to score should trap at 7-10 with William Hill but I prefer bet365's even money for 2-3 match goals.
