CELTIC'S march to another SPFL Premiership crown continues to gather pace and it would be a major surprise if they stumbled at home to Motherwell in the final game before the league split.
The title race effectively ended when the Hoops beat Rangers 3-2 in their last outing at Celtic Park to open up a 12-point lead at the top on another good day for our man Mark.
Any notion that complacency might set in was banished in their next match at Kilmarnock as Ange Postecoglou's men raced into a 4-0 lead inside 27 minutes, even throwing in a missed penalty for good measure.
With a Scottish Cup semi-final to come next weekend against Rangers, Hoops fans are dreaming of another treble and they should warm up for Hampden with a win against a Well side who effectively have nothing to play for.
A stunning run of form under new boss Stuart Kettlewell eased Motherwell's relegation fears and they even held hopes of a top-six finish heading into the last round of fixtures.
But a 2-1 loss to Dundee United at Firk Park last weekend, which brought up a goals bet for me, condemned the Steelmen to a bottom-six finish even if they manage to claim a shock win over the champions in Glasgow.
With Motherwell eight points clear of second-bottom Killie they are more or less safe but Kettlewell won't be taking anything for granted until they have a few more points on the board.
How the bookies view it
Motherwell are 33/1 rank outsiders with Ladbrokes and even the draw is a chunky 10/1 at Paddy Power. Celtic' best price is a tiny 1/9 with LiveScoreBet.
Recent head to head
Celtic have won 15 games in a row against Motherwell since a 1-1 draw at Fir Park December 2018. But it was a close game when the Steelmen last came calling with the Hoops sealing a 2-1 win thanks to a second-half goal from Reo Hatate.
Players to watch
Midfielder Matt O'Riley stole the show at Rugby Park last weekend with two classy left-foot finishes. He's benefitting from an extended run in the team with Hatate out injured and looks a bit overpriced at 11/4 with 888Sport for anytime scorer. O'Riley also chips in with plenty of assists and could be worth backing once that market is priced up.
Kevin van Veen has been the main man in Motherwell's revival under Kettlewell and has netted eight times in his last five games. The Dutchman is 21/5 at Unibet to add to that tally at Parkhead.
Anything else catch the eye?
We've seen 11 and 15 corners in the two league meetings so far this season and that makes over 11.5 corners worth a look at 5/4 with McBookie. Over 8.5 Celtic corners also appeals at 6/5 with the same firm.
Dan Casey has been a good addition for Motherwell at the back but he has also been picking up plenty of yellow cards. The Irishman has four bookings from his last six games and looks overpriced at 3/1 for a card here with Bet365.
If Celtic are winning comfortably then Postecoglou could give chances to some young players off the bench. Ben Summers and Rocco Vata both featured last weekend and Vata is 7/4 with Unibet for a goal while Summers is 19/10 at SportingIndex.
