The Tannadice club are still somehow in third place despite losing four of their last five league games and five out of six in total.
And if ever there's a ‘good' time to face Celtic in Glasgow, it would be in between these games, with Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers surely set to rest plenty of players, since the Premiership is all but won.
Celtic were surprisingly passive against Bayern for much of the game, but they eventually had a go and could even have snatched a draw after a late charge.
Sadly for United, they will know that Celtic could just about rest their entire team and still be far too good for the vast majority of the rest of the teams in the league.
