Demoralised Leicester City are freefalling towards relegation and it would be a major surprise if they avoided a 10th successive defeat when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League.
The Foxes have been short-odds in the market for relegation for pretty much the entire season but their form has been particularly abject in the last few months and you have to go all the way back to January 26 for their last Premier League goal.
Monday night's 3-0 home loss to Newcastle, which brought up a handicap bet for Slips Tips, was typical of their recent displays and it looks like most of Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad have given up the ghost.
It's says everything about Southampton's awful season that Leicester aren't propping up the pile and Saints became the first club to be relegated last weekend.
The Foxes will join them soon but defeat at Brighton won't officially send them down, although a win for Wolves on Sunday would leave Leicester 18 points from safety with just six games to go.
Brighton have plenty to play for as they chase down one of the European places and the Seagulls are looking to bounce back after a run of four games without a win.
Fabian Hurzeler's side need a boost to get their season back on track and they should get it against the Premier League whipping boys.
How the bookies view it: Foxes hunted down again
With Leicester in such terrible form, BoyleSports make them 9/1 rank outsiders for this one. Brighton are tiny at just 2/7 and even the draw is pretty big at 4/1.
Recent head to head: On the level
This fixture has been a godsend for people playing the football pools as four of the last five meetings have ended in score draws. But Brighton have won their last two home games with the Foxes, including a 5-2 thrashing on Leicester's last visit back in 2022.
Players to watch: Mitoma raring to go
Newcastle's wingers ran riot against Leicester on Monday, with Jacob Murphy netting a double and Harvey Barnes also on target. So the speedy Kaoru Mitoma could get some joy in this one and he's 15/8 at BoyleSports for anytime scorer. Bet365 also price the Japanese star at 5/2 for an assist.
Jamie Vardy is one of the few Leicester players who still seems to be running his heart out and the veteran striker is 7/2 at BoyleSports to end their Premier League drought.
Probable line-ups
Brighton still have a host of players missing, with Tariq Lamptey, Igor Julio, Ferdi Kadioglu, James Milner, Jason Steele, Joel Veltman, Georginio Rutter and Adam Webster set to miss out. Paul van Hecke is also banned after his red card last weekend.
Leicester City have far fewer injury issues, with only winger Abdul Fatawa on the sidelines. Van Nistelrooy may make a few changes after such a poor display against the Magpies.
Brighton and Hove Albion: Verbruggen, Dunk, Cashin, Estupinan, Gomez, Hinshelwood, Minteh, Baleba, Mitoma, Ayari, J Pedro.
Leicester City: Hermansen, Faes, Coady, Pereira, Justin, Ndidi, Buonanotte, Soumare, El Khannouss, Mavididi, Vardy.
Anything else catch the eye?
It's hard finding value with Brighton such heavy favourites but backing the Seagulls to be winning at half-time and full-time looks pretty decent at 20/23.
Leicester may never get a better chance to end their scoring drought, with Brighton's defence decimated by injuries and the suspension for Van Hecke. Backing both teams to score could pay off at evens with BoyleSports.
It's hard to see Van Nistelrooy's defence keeping Brighton's forwards at bay so the 23/20 on offer for over 2.5 Seagulls goals also looks good.
