BRENTFORD and Southampton are still not mathematically safe from relegation from the English Premier League and both would like to relax for the run-in with three points.
It's 14th v 15th. Both sides are on 40 points and both have three games left this season. Both are currently eight points clear of the relegation zone although all the teams below them have games in hand on them.
But both sides would prefer to be labelled a mid-table team and they are fighting for a top half finish, after all, they are both just four points off ninth spot Brighton.
Brentford's excellent recent run came to a shuddering halt on Monday night when they crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Manchester United. Previously, they had won five out of their last seven games.
But Saints are on a fairly miserable end-of-season run, which could have caused them problems if they hadn't got points in the bag. They have won just once in their last ten games in all competitions and have lost two of their last three games against Burnley and Crystal Palace.
How the bookies view it
Brentford are 5/4 favourites with SportNation with home advantage counting and Southampton can be backed at 12/5 with Coral.
The draw is 5/2 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
Southampton turned in one of their best performances of the season when they thrashed Brentford 4-1 at home in January.
Curiously, Brentford have failed to defeat Southampton at home in their last five meetings and haven't had a home win against them since 1959.
Players to watch
Ivan Toney failed to find the net at Old Trafford but the striker is looking for his 15th goal of the season on Saturday and he is 11/8 to get it with Coral.
James Ward-Prowse has contributed 11 goals from midfield this season and netted a double in their recent draw against Brighton. He is 7/2 with Paddy Power to score.
Anything else catch the eye?
It's hard to make a compelling case for either side here and there's a reason they are so tightly grouped together in the league. This has draw written all over it, which would surely suit both sides.
Southampton have had 13 draws already this season and there could be another one in London here.
The visitors have also only scored over one goal once in their last ten games, while Brentford have drawn a blank in their last two matches.
Back the under 2.5 goals at 20/21 with Boylesports in a match that might not be a classic.
