Auckland FC will take on Tottenham on Sunday, 26 July, as Spurs get their tour of Australia and New Zealand underway at Eden Park.
After the disappointment of last season, Tottenham are keen to push higher up the Premier League table this time around, and to give themselves the best chance of doing that, a strong pre-season could be important.
Their opponents on Sunday are an Auckland side that were crowned A-League winners for the first time in their history in May.

This is the first time that Auckland FC and Tottenham have ever played each other, which is not all that surprising considering they operate on opposite sides of the planet.

Tottenham have been the busiest club in the Premier League so far this summer, bringing in five first-team players already for a combined cost of around £250m.
All the noise around the club suggests that they aren't done there, but for now, Tottenham fans can look forward to seeing some of these new faces in action against Auckland.
Mateus Fernandes is the standout name that Spurs fans will be most excited about watching on Sunday morning, particularly after he scored a stunning volley just three minutes into his debut against MK Dons last week.
Much has been made of the £85m that Spurs spent on Fernandes, but if he can contribute goals like that throughout the season, nobody will be saying they have overspent on the former West Ham man.
Andy Robertson didn't feature against MK Dons, but he is expected to make his Tottenham debut this weekend. It will be interesting to see how Robertson fares in Roberto de Zerbi's high-pressing structure at the age of 32.

In addition to Fernandes and Robertson, Sandro Tonali is another new Spurs signing who should feature on Sunday. Jan Paul Van Hecke has also linked up with the squad, but he may not be ready to play just yet, while Pedro Porro, Djed Spence, Marcos Senesi and Mohamed Kudus are all missing.
This is Auckland's first pre-season match of the summer, so heavy rotation is expected.

Auckland FC haven't played a match since winning the A-League, and they could struggle with the pace and intensity of Tottenham, who are determined to treat pre-season seriously ahead of the new season. Spurs won 2- 0 against MK Dons in their first pre-season friendly, and we can see the same happening again this weekend.
