Arsenal vs Fulham

, KO: 13:30 Apr 18, 2021, Emirates Stadium
Fulham

ARSENAL will be looking to land back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since January when London rivals Fulham come calling.

Mikel Arteta's men have struggled for any degree of consistency this season and they start the weekend languishing down in ninth-place in the Premier League table.

Last time out, in the league, Arsenal swatted aside hapless Sheffield United 3-0 at Bramall Lane, on a night where both of my bets banked.

However, it would appear that winning the Europa League now represents Arsenal's best chance of securing Champions League football next season and the north Londoners bolstered those ambitions with a fantastic 4-0 win at Slavia Prague on Thursday night.

Fulham, on the other hand, make the short trip across the city looking to halt a four-game losing streak, a run of results that has stopped the Cottagers revival in its tracks.

Scott Parker's sides' hopes of beating the drop suffered a gut-wrenching blow last Friday night in a last-gasp 1-0 loss at home to Wolves, where my recommended Bet Builder landed.

Outright Betting

Arsenal have won just four of their last 13 Premier League home matches but the hosts are heavily fancied here at 3/4 with William Hill.

Fulham have lost five of their last six Premier League games and the bookies odds suggest that trend is set to continue with the Cottagers priced up at 4/1 with PaddyPower, with the draw trading at 27/10 with TonyBet.

Betting Angles

Arsenal have been difficult to trust this season but I'm happy to take a chance on the Gunners here with a -0.75 start on the asian handicap at 21/20 with Bet 365.

Here we would land a half win if Mikel Arteta's side won by a solitary strike, whilst an Arsenal triumph by two or more goals would deliver a full pay out.

As already alluded to, Scott Parker's posse have lost each of their last four Premier League matches and I suspect the Gunners will have too much firepower for a Fulham side who are beginning to look doomed to the drop.

The Cottagers performances have dipped at the wrong time, while Arsenal will be brimming with confidence following their Europa League exploits on Thursday night, and I'm therefore proceed with a play on the hosts with a -0.75 start on the asian handicap on Sunday.

I'll also dip into the Bet Builder market and combine over zero Arsenal goals alongside over one Fulham card, a 20/21 shot with Bet 365.

Arsenal have scored in five of their last six Premier League matches, while Fulham have conceded two or more goals in three of their last four league outings.

With that in mind, coupled with Arsenal's superior attacking quality, I'm more than happy to back the hosts to hit the back of the net during this all-London affair.

In order to boost up the price, I'll throw in two or more Fulham cards – the Cottagers are averaging 1.75 cards per game this season and they have seen two or more cards in four of their last six Premier League matches.

This match between Arsenal and Fulham will be played on Apr 18, 2021 and kick off at 13:30. Check below for our tipsters best Arsenal vs Fulham prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
