Algeria and Burkina Faso square off on Sunday in what is the second of their Group E fixtures at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Both nations know that there is an opportunity to secure their place in the knockout phase after winning their opening games.
While Algeria secured a one-sided 3-0 victory over Sudan, Burkina Faso pulled off the comeback of the tournament thus far as they netted in the 95th and 98th minutes to record a 2-1 triumph over Equatorial Guinea.
How the bookies see it: Algeria the heavy favourites
Although there are just 28 places between Algeria (34th) and Burkina Faso (62nd) in the FIFA World Rankings, Algeria have been made the clear 10/11 favourites by Bet365.
Burkina Faso at 10/3 will appeal to some punters, as will the 23/10 for the draw.
Head to head: Reason for Burkina Faso to back themselves
These two nations could barely be more evenly-matched when it comes to the head-to-head, with Algeria recording seven wins in comparison to six victories for Burkina Faso in 19 matches since 1996.
While it should be noted that only three encounters have taken place since 2013, they have all ended in draws.
As well as 1-1 and 2-2 contests during the qualification campaign for the 2022 World Cup, another 2-2 game was played out at the last Africa Cup of Nations in 2024.
Player to watch: Can Burkina Faso resist Mahrez magic?
Riyad Mahrez may now be 34 years of age and no longer representing Manchester City in the Premier League, but he remains Algeria's star man.
His two goals in the 3-0 win over Sudan took him to 36 strikes and 44 assists from 108 appearances for his country. In 19 games for Al-Ahli this season, the playmaker has four goals and seven assists.
Despite not scoring against Equatorial Guinea, Brentford's Dango Ouattara is the player to watch in the Burkina Faso squad.
As well as 12 goals from 35 games for his country, the winger has three strikes and four assists for Brentford in this season's Premier League.
Probable lineups:
With Vladimir Petkovic able to rest his key players during the final stages against Sudan, it would come as no surprise if the same Algeria XI is named.
Although Rayan Ait-Nouri's fitness may be managed after his limited game time with Man City, his 61 minutes in the previous match should lead to another start.
Georgi Minoungou's goal as a substitute for Burkina Faso last time out puts him in contention to feature in the first XI.
Pierre Kabore is most at risk of losing his place, with his three goals in six Burkina Faso appearances all coming in the same game against Ethiopia.
Algeria: Zidane; Belghali, Mandi, Bensebaini, Ait-Nouri; Boudaoui, Bennacer; Mahrez, Chaibi, Amoura; Bounedjah
Burkina Faso: Koffi; Yago, Dayo, Tapsoda, Kouassi; Sangare, Quedraogo, Toure; B.Traore, Minoungou, Ouattara
Anything else catch the eye?
Algeria are unbeaten in 11 matches across normal time, prevailing on eight occasions. However, they did suffer a penalty-shootout defeat to United Arab Emirates in the Arab Cup.
In eight of those encounters, Algeria have scored more than two goals.
Burkina Faso are unbeaten in their last seven matches, winning six times and only recording a goalless draw against Egypt.
A total of 11 goals have been scored across their last four outings, but they have only kept a clean sheet on one occasion.
