Aberdeen host Rangers in a Sunday showdown at Pittodrie in a match which has traditionally been fiercely contested.
With the league long gone for Rangers, it's really only pride and of course the future of interim manager Barry Ferguson at stake.
Rangers were in midweek action in the Europa League quarter final first leg and battled to a brave goalless draw against Spanish cracks Athetic Bilbao despite having Robin Propper sent off early on.
The last time they came off the back of a gruelling European game, they went to Parkhead and won 3-2 at Celtic so fatigue is unlikely to be an issue.
But Ferguson hs stated he's likely to completely change his team with the return leg in Bilbao certainly the priority.
Aberdeen have had the strangest of topsy turvy seasons after winning their first 13 games before going on a 16-match winless run.
They appear to have levelled out now and in a battle with Hibs and Dundee United for thid spot.
The Dons are in decent form and have lost once since the start of February and that was at Parkhead against Celtic.
Jimmy Thelin's men have won their last two games against Motherwell and Ross County and need few excuses to get themselves up for a Rangers game.
How the bookies view it: Rangers still odds-on…just
Rangers are on the drift after Thursday. They are now out to 20/21 with Boylesports and that could go to odds-against before kick off.
The Dons can be backed at 2/1 and the draw is 11/4 also with Boylesports.
Recent head to heads: A win apiece this season
Aberdeen chalked up a fine 2-1 win at Pittodrie at the end of October towards the end of their winning run and lost 3-0 at Ibrox towards the end of their losing run!
Rangers have only won once in their last five visits to the north east.
Players to watch: Shady Mo's the merrier
Shayden Morris has improved hugely for Aberdeen this season, having looked like he would be moved on. He netted the winner with a cracker at Ross County last week and is of interest at 5/1 to score anytime with Boylesports.
Rangers might start with Danilo up front as they rest players and the Brazilian is 7/4 to score anytime with Boylesports.
Predicted line-ups:
Aberdeen are missing Jamie McGrath, keeper Dimitar Mitov and defender Kristers Tobers.
Rangers will be without the injyred Dujon Stirling and Bailey Rice who were both crocked on Thursday.
Aberdeen: Doohan, Jensen, Dorrington, Knoester, Shinnie, Morris, Palaversa, Clarkson, Gueye, Keskinen Nisbet.
Rangers: Kelly, Tavernier, Propper, Nsiala, Jefte, Barron, Bajrami, Curtis, McAusland, Danilo, Igamane,
Anything else catch the eye?
Aberdeen are worth a go here at a decent price against a Rangers team who will surely be caring only about next week in Bilbao.
The Ibrox side seem to wilt away from home against a team who will press them hard and thats exactly what the Dons will aim to do. And it' almost certainly to be a much-changed Rangers side.
Of course, Rangers have the quaity in their squad to get the win, but they have proved time and time again in the league anyway, that they seem mentally weak when the going gets tough as it certainly will at Pittodrie.
You can be sure there will be plenty of controversy here as usual when these sides meet although the early Sunday kick off undoubtedly waters that down.
Graeme Shinnie always good for a card and the Dons skipper is worth a go at 10Bet's 11/5 to be carded.
Back the hosts to score two goals or more against a weakened Rangers defence too at 11/8 with Boylesports.
