IT'S that time of the year where we are pining for the return of domestic football and even the start of the Europa League qualifiers in a few weeks. In the meantime though we have the Norwegian leagues to keep us occupied on a quiet Sunday.
There are 13 games today, seven from the top flight and six from Division One – 11 of them kick off at 5pm and its those games I'm turning my attention to.
Sogndal vs Skeid (5pm)
The fans of Sogndal can't say they haven't been entertained at home this season. Their last five matches have seen 24 goals scored (4-1 1-3 4-2 4-2 1-2) and their gung-ho approach, although paying dividends in attack, means they are suspect at the back (14 scored, 10 conceded).
I'm sure the home fans won't care given the margin of some of their wins and with 4 goals scored in three of those games they'll be expecting more goals today against struggling Skeid.
Skeid are without a win in 6 and on the road have picked up just one point – only 4 points separate these two but I'd be surprised if Skeid collected anything from this game.
Over 2.5 goals is just under 4-5 but it's hard to ignore Sogndal's scoring record at home and with them far from watertight at the back. Every chance Skeid can get on the scoresheet so going to take over 3.0 on the Asian Handicap (money back if three goals).
Recommended Bet
- Over 3 goals (Asian Handicap)
- (11-10, bet365)
Eliteserien Over 1.5 Goals Treble
Nothing really standing out at a backable price for goals in the top flight by means of a single but like last weekend when all 6 games delivered over 1.5 goals. I've picked out a treble where we should see a minimum of 2 goals scored.
- Ranheim vs Mjondalen
- Tromso vs Rosenborg
- Viking vs Bodo/Glimt
Over 1.5 goals treble pays (21-10, Ladbrokes).
All 11 games over 1.5 goals pays (12-1, bet365) and is worth a punt.
