nfl betting tips

It's Thanksgiving week in the NFL, so every team is playing before the final bye week of the season in Week 14. Here are all the betting tips and our week 14 NFL picks, including best spread, total, touchdown and player props.

We've had four games already, with the Lions solidifying their spot at the top of the NFC, the Cowboys winning in the division against the Giants, the Packers beating the Dolphins in sub-zero temperatures, and the Chiefs once again finding a new, ridiculous way to win their game against the Raiders.

The Sunday slate is headlined by the AFC North with the Bengals and Steelers on TV in the early game, the Ravens and Eagles highlighting the late slot and the Brown facing the Broncos on Monday Night Football to close out the week.

The Sunday Night Football game this weekend should be a cracker as well although the Bills v 49ers will be played in a few feet of snow which will significantly restrict scoring, but look nice at least!

NFL betting tips – week 13 picks: Best Spread – Seahawks -1 @ Jets

The Seattle Seahawks travel across the country to take on a Jets team in turmoil, knowing that building on their win over the Cardinals last weekend will help them keep their spot at the top of the NFC West and with the rest of their division facing tough match-ups they could take a big step forward in their chase for a playoff spot.

They are the better team in this one, with Geno Smith having the best season of his career. The veteran QB is currently only behind Joe Burrow in passing yards this season with DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and breakout candidate of the year, Jaxon Smith-Njigba putting up yards in every game. Add to that Kenneth Walker on the ground and you've got the building of a very good offence.

It's not just the offensive side of the ball that's been clicking for them either, as they stymied Kyler Murray and wrapped up the game with a pick-six last weekend. That defence gets to go up against a Jets team who have been removing their coaching staff for Aaron Rodgers, and now it looks like he doesn't even want to play for them any more!

There's been talk of him going on IR, talk that he does want to play next year but not for the team he's torn apart, it's a complete mess for them with Rodgers and with their defense missing tackles every week it's a side in a mess.

Seahawks get the win they need and go home knowing they're nearly in the playoffs.

NFL betting tips – week 13 picks: Best Total – Bills v 49ers u44.5

I am a little surprised this total hasn't been plummeting since the images of the Bills stadium came to light on Saturday evening. It's the good old “lake effect snow” and it's putting the field under a few feet of the white stuff.

That's never good for scoring, and with the 49ers' run game faltering since Christian McCaffrey came back from injury, I'm not sure how they will be able to put up 20 in this game. The Bills should be more adept in this weather, but regardless of how used to it you are, it always slows down offences more than defences and makes the kicking game a nightmare.

There should be a lot of three-and-outs and going for it on fourth down to avoid having to kick, and that means dead drives and no points. Take the under before the Americans wake up and drop the line.

NFL betting tips – week 13 picks: Best TD Scorer – Bucky Irving 11/10

The Buccaneers dominated against a lesser opponent last weekend, and they get a chance to do that in the division this week against a Panthers side that showed some fight against the Chiefs but eventually came up short.

Baker Mayfield has been working the passing game well, and with Mike Evans another week away from injury, that should be effective once more, but it was the ground game which helped them win last week with Rachaad White, Sean Tucker and Bucky Irving all finding the endzone.

It was Irving, though, who got the more important snaps. The rookie looks like he's finally taken over as the main man in that running game. I think he finds the endzone again. If you did want to pivot, then Rachaad White has now scored in five games in a row, but his reduced touches when the game was in the balance last week have put me off of him and on to Irving.

David Moore – 9/2

In the same game, I also like a player on the Panthers side. When they got close to the endzone last weekend, they weren't really running the ball, and even with Adam Thielen back on the field, they were looking for his teammate David Moore.

The experienced Moore did manage to snag one of his four red zone targets for a score last weekend, and I don't see why they'd go away from him in this one, especially now they're down to third- and fourth-stringers at TE with Ja'Tavion Sanders missing this week with a neck injury. It's a longer shot, but I'm fond of it this week.

NFL betting tips – week 13 picks: Best Player Prop –  Quentin Johnston o37.5

Taking someone who didn't catch any of his five targets last weekend might seem a bit silly, but they were on target and would have gone for big yards if he had completed those catches so I don't think they'll shy away from trying to get him the ball again this weekend against a team who sit bottom 10 in the league for passing yards allowed against them this season.

The Chargers have also lost JK Dobbins, who was a big part of their running game and involved in the passing game with dump-offs as well, so they'll have to adapt to move the ball and play a poor defense like this. They will likely go aerial a little more.
