For the second day of the new NBA season, we have many more games to choose from than we did yesterday, so here are my NBA betting tips for today:

All odds in the article taken from Paddy Power and subject to change.

Toronto Raptors vs Cleveland Cavaliers: Cavaliers to win with handicap (-6.5) @ 9/10

The Raptors have been in a downward spiral ever since winning the title and the team has entered the rebuilding phase completely when they've traded Siakam last season. Toronto isn't the worst team in the league, but they aren't too far off, while the Cavs are one of the best teams in the East.

Last time these two teams met, the Cavs won by 24 points and with the Raptors missing RJ Barret, Kelly Olynyk, and Bruce Brown, I don't see them being able to put up a fight against Cleveland, even at home.

Houston Rockets vs Charlotte Hornets: Rockets Over 118.5 Total Points @ 10/11

After three losing seasons in a row, in which they've hovered below or around 20 wins, the Rockets have finally shown serious potential last season and finished it with 41 wins and losses each. Meanwhile, the Hornets had 21 wins last season and we can't see them doing much better this time around.

The Rockets won both of their meetings with Charlotte last season and they've scored 128 and 138 points, respectively. Their offense should be even better this season with Green, Sengun, and other youngsters all more experienced, so I can see them putting at least 119 points past the Hornets tonight.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Golden State Warriors: Warriors to win with handicap (-5.5) @ 5/6

While the Warriors are far from the scary championship team we all remember them to be, they are still a solid team, with plenty of depth and interesting young prospects, led by Steph Curry. On the other hand, the Blazers are arguably one of the worst teams in the league and in my mind, the worst team in the West by some distance.

Portland are also still missing Shaedon Sharpe and while they do have a few quality players that can deliver occasionally, the Warriors should be able to start the season with a win here. The Warriors have beaten Portland in all four of their duels last season, by an average margin of 9 points, so I can see that happening tonight as well.
