ANYONE bored yet with no top-class footie on the box? What about a lack of betting opportunities?
Everyone went the stretch on Monday to find something to punt on with varying degrees of success.
I picked out Doncaster against Bradford but Greuther Furth, who were flagged up as Bundesliga's form side, lost at fellow strugglers Aue.
Jordan went down the Israeli route and picked a cracker while Greg's tip was on Liberec v Dukla reserves was also a winner.
Well done to everyone who profited on a quiet night and went to the bother of posting tips.
There are more games to look at on Tuesday and I've posted a separate preview on the Scottish lower-league matches including Dundee United v Queen of the South and Brechin v Dunfermline.
In Tuesday's Daily Record I've advised a Top Treble and going for it here today.
There are a few games in England and I'm starting a goals treble with Crewe v Forest Green. Crewe's last four have seen both scoring as have five of Forest Green's previous six. In the first meeting between the sides last November it was 3-2 to Forest Green.
Add Albion Rovers v Ayr and Edinburgh City v Clyde. The last four meetings between the sides at Cliftonhill have gone over 2.5 goals with both scoring in three of them. Five out of six for Rovers have seen btts and five out of six for Ayr have gone over 2.4 goals.
This season Ayr won 3-2 at home and 5-1 away. Ayr and btts pays 2- at bet365.
Complete the treble with Edinburgh v Clyde which has seen one 3-2 win apiece this season – both at Clyde's Broadwood ground. Edinburgh's form has picked up recently and they are unbeaten in four, scoring 10. Clyde have also been in good nick and their only recent defeats were 2-1 at Peterhead and Stirling. Both should hit the target here.
For a Super Single I considered Ayr and btts as well as Stirling draw no bet at Elgin. Stirling are too big to win at over 2-1 when it looks a 50-50 call but while Elgin lost 3-1 at basement boys Cowdenbeath at the weekend they do have the best home record in the division.
So I've plumped for Shrewsbury at Northampton. The Shrews have won four in a row and face a side at the opposite end of the table and without a win in five. Small stakes though.

For a half stake, I like the look of Albion Rovers v Ayr.
Ayr have been brilliant of late and are starting to keep more clean sheets, but their 2-0 win at Forfar on the weekend was their only away clean sheet since beating Forfar 5-0 back in November. Albion Rovers have been great for goals this season and although they haven’t been too goal mad of late, they can score against anyone it seems and so I think the price on both netting is too big (8/11).
Ayr have won both meetings this year in goalfests (3-2 and 5-1) and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them win with both netting again.

Can understand why Mr F has gone for Clyde not to lose rather than the straight win – Edinburgh are on a good run at the moment and a tough to beat at home but Clyde themselves are on a good run and have David Goodwillie so always have a chance – BTTS the best shout here
Dundee United v QOS
Where my bet will be coming from – these two met last Tuesday with United tuning out 3-1 winners in Dumfries. The last 6!meetings between these two have ended 3-1 2-1 4-2 2-3 3-3 4-1 and wouldn’t be surprised to see both sides sides score. Northampton vs Shrewsbury
Sixfield play host to an entertaining match between relegation threatened Northampton underdogs and a promotion obvious contender Shrewsbury Town team.
Northampton has had a rough time done to their own pitch and have seen them only collect one point after a draw with the Oxford men late last month. In 5 home matches they were beaten 1- nil by bottom ranked Rochdale and as if that is not enough they were hammered 3 goals to nil just over the weekend by 4 place Rotherham. They have a red card situation of Crooks. At this point and stage of football survival to try maintain the league one status os much crucial and there is no doubt that over the remaining matches there could be intensive changes and improvements. However, I would choose championship over relegation as a more superior motivating factor and that is why my preview is drawn towards concentration on Shrew’s side as a win to this game could see them top blackburn in the league though third placed Wigan has 3 or so games in hand.
They have been consistent with them being ruthless towards goal and in 5 away games have not lost any single point. They have seen away wins to Charton and Scunthorpe and surely i don’t expect them to be on the drop of points at this match. Surely a draw could be part of the result but I stick my head up for an away win.

The first game should be a good fight with both needing results for very different reasons. Shrewsbury are on a great run of 5 away wins on the trot. All but 1 not going of 2+ goals

Following a short break and a review of all my previous 2-3 Match Goals bets i’ve tweaked the strategy a bit further. No more trebles or yankee bets. Although they were a nice boost hitting them I feel sticking the singles and maximum doubles on a daily basis might help more. So again i’ve set myself another test of having 100 bets using this new strategy and see where I am at that point. Should give some indication if it’s profitable or not long term. So having started yesterday it’s 6 bets 3 wins 3 lost and profit of 2.1pts. Will keep track again as I go.
