BIRMINGHAM will be on many punters naughty step as they denied plenty of us a 25-1 payout.

The English Championship games looked good for goals and 11 out of 12 teams obliged – but Birmingham failed to net at home to QPR who made it back-to-back clean sheets after previously conceding in every game since April.

They beat my both to score treble and I suggested all six landing at 25-1 – as did some others.

For the second night running my Champions League treble went down in the early game – so remind not to the early game when the knockouts start.

Thursday sees the final round of the Europa League groups and many meaningless games. I'll post tips and more thoughts in the morning but meanwhile I've looked at the matches involving Rangers and Celtic on a separate post so check it out.

I'm backing Rangers to beat Young Boys and clinch top spot in their group but Celtic could lose at Cluj with Neil Lennon leaving his top stars at home and skipper Scott Brown banned.

Also there match previews from the likes of SlipsTips and kevinmac so take a look at those.

I've picked out two Europa League trebles – one from the 5.55pm games and another from the 8pm kick-offs and all picks are reasoned on my separate preview post here.

1pt Top Treble (all 5.55pm)

  • Copenhagen v Malmo btts
  • Getafe
  • Cluj
  • (27-5, Marathonbet)

1pt Top Treble (all 8pm)

  • Rangers
  • B M'gladbach
  • Ludogerets v Ferencvaros btts
  • (19-5, bet365)

Liverpool to win the league by 10+ points 5/2?

8pts ahead of Leicester and 14pts Infront of City

Looks like a good bet anyone?

    • mr h 4 years ago

Macca you must fancy this or are you concerned of a tail off towards the finish if it’s sealed early

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

Leicester v Liverpool on Boxing Day could be key. If Leicester win it we might have a title fight – remember they have no European games and that will be another advantage when the Champions League resumes.

    • mr h 4 years ago

Great point Mr F and if Liverpool win at Leicester it becomes an even better punt at 5/2.. worthy of consideration

    • maccathered 4 years ago

mr f Liverpool won the Champions league last season and still finished on 97 points,Liverpool should beat Leicester away,If Leicester City can get 100 points then they have a chance of winning the title, can Leicester get 100 points my answer is NO.

    • Mr Fixit 4 years ago

Can you see Liverpool winning both?

    • sean567 4 years ago

Of course he does Liverpool fans can’t see them losing again ever 😂😂

    • maccathered 4 years ago

League is priority, but they won’t give up the Champions league easily, certainly good enough to win both and i wouldn’t put anyone off backing them doing the double.I do believe they will strengthen in January.

    • maccathered 4 years ago

A draw is like a loss to us sean lol,of course we will lose a game at some point, that’s football.

    • sean567 4 years ago

that’s the mentality every big club should have macca. for the record I cant see them losing a prem game this season. only time I can see it is in the middle of a CL tie and they have a big lead still and rest players for the league.

Nice winning NAP yesterday with Cardiff to score and have over 1 corner

Today my main bets will be on the election as posted earlier in the week

NAP – Labour to get 35% of vote @ 9/4 – I think this has reduced now to 6/4

    Other tips

Brexit party to win a seat @ 3/1 – if you’re sad and staying up to watch the coverage like me, this is a nice interest bet as can apply to any sea they are in

Frank Field to win Birknehead @ 10/3

SNP to win Dumbartonshire East @ 15/8

Conservatives to win Stoke in Trent Central @ Evens

Also agree with previous posters this week about Bolsover going for the tories – I got Evens and its now 8/13 so maybe a bit short unless you can shop around

Pity you cannot do accas on these markets but the bookies aren’t soft

Good Luck and back to the football tomorrow!

    Cluj v Celtic
Like the look of the skybet goals/corners/cards market for this game. Yes Celtic will field a weakened team but it will still be full of experienced players and I’d expect both sides to contribute to all 3 lines. This has landed in all 3 meetings so far in the past few months and I expect the same again tonight. Probable Celtic line up will include Gordon Bauer Taylor bitton ntcham Sinclair Morgan and Griffiths so enough to see a competitive game.

New York Jets vs Baltimore Ravens tonight

Don’t be fooled by the jets recent record of 4 wins out of 5, these have come against teams that are also dire, they include the redskins, the dolphins and the giants. Another win against the raiders was an absolute rout and the raiders only put up 3 points, however the raiders hve now lost the past 3 games putting up a grand total of just 33 points. The game prior was only a 17-10 win against an also dire bengals team. The jets allowed Ryan Fitzpatrick whom is a 37 year old veteran rush for 65 yards last week on just 7 carries – AWFUL. Lamar Jackson is basically just another running back in QB and after allowing 65 yards against the dolphins QB, it could get ridiculous tonight against a QB who has the speed, agility and age on his side. Honestly this game is such an uneven matchup the jets could look like amateurs tonight if they aren’t careful, the ravens will put up 30+ points and I think the jets will be limited to 10, an absolute most 17. Tonight is a gimme and pick your best bet but this is what I’m on….

Lamar Jackson OVER 63.5 rushing yards
    5/6 skybet
    440 Points (DOUBLE NAP STAKE)

    Baltimore Ravens -16 points
    20/23 William hill
    440 points (DOUBLE NAP STAKE)

Lamar jackson 100+ rush yards and to score a rushing TD
    7/2 paddy power
    100 points (HALF STAKE)

    Baltimore Ravens -16 points
    Labour over 35%
    100 points (HALF STAKE)
Double price @ 10/1 on William hill!!

Big night tonight, 30%ish of my betting bank staked, let’s see what happens👍
Everyone knows I normally only use NAP, DOUBLE NAP etc on NFL but I’m recording points now hence why I’ve put it on

Paying for Christmas and a few hols tonight😂

Nathan I think they said on the Monday night game that Lamar Jackson had a quad injury. Is this true, do you know? If he is injured would Baltimore rest Lamar as it is just the jets. I am no expert on American football, do Baltimore have a decent enough qb back up? Hope your right with labour, SNP will do the bizniz in SCOTLAND, then a hung parliament, or not enough majority for the Tories and there TYRANT ways. Hopefully SNP, labour, Lib Dem’s put there heads together and get the Austerity, Eton bumchum mob OUT.

After not backing Barca on Tuesday. Real and Juve games interested me last night, the double was paying 6.5/1. Waited till the teams were released and was surprised the price stayed the same.

Don’t think Celtic will lose tonight. There will be changes but still a strong enough team to avoid defeat imo. And I also think we’ll want to come out the group unbeaten.

Been mad busy but popping up a couple tips for UFC 245. Absolutely massive card with 3 title fights. Doesn’t get much bigger!

Colby win (2.62). Don’t let the act fool you, the kid can fight & is the real deal! I reckon he’s the better wrestler & Usman will have to knock him out to win as Colby has cardio for days! I just think Colby will get in his head as the week goes on & Usman will come out & forget the gameplan…..think Aldo vs Conor. In the women’s bantamweight title fight, Nunes is the baddest women on the planet & has already smashed Rousey and Cyborg so I reckon she’ll take out De Randamie with ease. On Nunes by KO/TKO/DQ or Decision (1.90)

Other bets: Yan/Brown/Holloway Treble (2.49). Neal/Moraes double (2.09). Colby via KO/TKO/DQ or decision (3.25). Yan via KO/TKO/DQ/Sub (1.95). Should have some World Champs Darts tips up later as well. Enjoy.

    @scotswahay1

Yes mate Lamar Jackson said himself on Tuesday he would be playing, he attended the full practice yesterday. Also the Ravens still haven’t secured their playoff place (favs for Super Bowl now and will certainly qualify) but they won’t rest until it’s cemented and the jets tonight is an easier notch on the win category. Jackson is also only 23 yards away from taking the record for most QB rushing yards ever in a single season (currently held by Michael Vick whom had 1,039 rushing yards one year) crazy to think he’s done it after only 13 games! He will be up for it today and want to secure that title, and exceed it easily!

God I hope this is right, Corbyn is a dirty little tw@t , he would have destroyed this country.

    • sean ireland 4 years ago

Destroyed the Country by doing what? Trying to reverse the pain and misery that 9 years of Tory Austerity did? They caused tens of thousands of deaths by leaving families destitute with their policy of taking from the poor and giving to the super rich and blindfolding the publics eyes and splitting the country in their tried n tested policy of divide and rule and calling it ”Brexit”The only twa@ts are those from working class backgrounds who are stupid enough to kid themselves into believing Boris and co have their best interests at heart.

Exit polls have been highly accurate in all the most recent general elections – the only one they got materially wrong was the Brexit referendum.

If this exit poll is correct it’s utter madness, how can seats that have been occupied by labour for 50+ years see such a swing to conservative. All these people must be deluded into thinking that the torys have their best interest at heart, it’s all lies, these people whom are living on a breadline are gonna be affected massively by this and that’s who I feel sorry for. But tbf if it’s a majority it’s a majority, all these mugs that have changed their minds are going to ruin the lives of millions. The vulnerable are the only ones effected by this and they have no protection what so ever now, and those vulnerables who have opted for conservative then they can just deal with the consequences

Looks like Jess Phillips may be gone. Just need Chukka, Swinson, Wollaston, Grieve, Gawke, Soubry out and it will almost be a full house. We all missed a trick here. We should’ve chucked in a fiver or two and had a “deadpool” on which MPs would keep their seats.

This election isn’t about right and left. It’s about politicians of all colours talking down to the electorate, and treating us like brown stuff. Now, the tables are turned.
