WELL I got there in the end. After near misses over the weekend I landed a nice 13-5 Top Treble on a small card.
Three points were advised but I lost 0.75pts for covering on Nacional to score again after Tondela v Sporting btts came up and Lille beat Sochaux.
Well done to all the winners including maccathered who had the gumption to back against his own Liverpool side when the teams were confirmed – we already knew they'd be seriously weakened. I suggested both to score but didn't fancy a WDW bet with Wolves also resting half of their team.
It's another quiet night with the focus on Spurs v Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final and Scott has posted a preview. There are EFL Trophy games I don't usually touch but Sunderland v Newcastle Under-21s could be interesting.
Elsewhere there are National League games and some cup clashes in France and Spain and I've picked out a treble for 2pts.
I agree with most of what Scott has said but I'm keeping the draw on side and backing Spurs draw no bet. Add Amiens not to lose at home to Angers in Ligue 1.
This is a match between two strugglers and while it looks a great shout for under 2.5 goals I'd rather back Amiens not to lose with the h2h favouring home teams in this fixture.
Complete the treble with btts at Sunderland v Newcastle U-21s in the EFL Trophy. Sunderland have a fixtures backlog and a vital game with Luton on Saturday so there's no way Jack Ross will field a strong side but whoever he picks will realise the importance of a game with any kind of Newcastle side. Should be hard fought and I'm backing goals.
2pts Top Treble
- Amiens not to lose (6pm)
- Sunderland v Newcastle U-21s btts (7.45pm)
- Spurs draw no bet (8pm)
- (43-10, bet365)

Goodman kyle for the cards . Im starting to take an interest in cards myself. Wouldnt mind finding out a bit more info on card bets. Any sites or things u look out for
I love the cards mate. Great way to gauge teams is to Google the league’s fair play table and see where they rank for cards
Goodman andrze
**WON**
Very new to me is betting on cards Micky, just trying my hand at new markets. Sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate and hopefully it will work in the long run. One site in particular ive been using is transfermarkt, get good info on teams + individual players.
Cheers bro
WSW v Wellington Phoenix
WSW were desperately unlucky against the Victory falling to a late winner last time out, despite playing quite well. What I have noticed lately in the Wanderers matches is the high volume of corners they win, averaging over 7 corners at home, with 12 in their last two. I think this could be a real battle and it might just be WSW’s day. Wellington have been on a great run lately but today are missing defensive midfielder Mandi through suspension, which may just be enough to upset their rhythm given he has played every game this season.
WSW over 7 corners 6/4 (NAP)
Double WSW over 6 corners & over 1.5 TG’S 2.3/1 (NB)
Half stakes;
WSW over 8 corners 5/2
WSW over 9 corners 9/2
WSW over 11 corners 12/1
Good luck
May as well chuck in over 10 corners or I’ll be kicking myself 15/2
Cracking first half mate 👏🏽👏🏽
Cheers Greg, same again 2nd half will do nicely
💥Shortee’s NAP💥
Whilst having my coffee this morning and researching the footy and stats for my nap, one thing stood out and that was Northampton’s *scoring record*
•Northampton have scored in their last 10 straight games and in those 10 they have only tasted defeat 2xs but have drawn 6 of those with 3 1-1s and 3 2-2s. But again have scored in all.
•Bristol rovers aren’t bad at conceding goals either and have done so in their last 8 from 10 and only their last 2 games have they kept a clean sheet with 0-0 and 2-0 win. Before that it was 8 straight games were they conceded a total of 16 goals in 8 games.
🔹 Bristol rovers no clean sheet (Northampton to score) @1/3
⛳️Corners next⛳️
The line for the Cheltenham v Oxford match IMO is quite low and they Are a generous price considering it’s a cup game and over 8 requires 9 and I’m happy with that line
•Cheltenham average a total of 4.77 a game for and concede a total of 5.19 against
•Oxford 10th in the corner standings and they gain 5.81 corners for per game and concede 4.54 against them.
Based on all of this I’m happy to take the line of:
🔹over 8 corners at Cheltenham v Oxford @1/2
🌟NAP🌟
▪️over 8 corners 1/2
▪️b rovers no clean sheet 1/3
📊 1/1 combined
GOODLUCK all 👍

Nice one @maccathered
Pointed out the stats for wsw bookings the other day, and although it was a letdown against the victory, it hasn’t put me off. Phoenix are another side who aren’t shy of a card or 3, (33 in 11 games) so we should see both sides contribute to the card line which is set at over 4.5

Gumption 👏🏻 word of the day F and glad you mentioned the Maccams against the Magpies youth game. Sunderland will surely rotate tonight with a huge game on Saturday at home too Luton. Sunderland have only failed to score twice all season and conceded in 9 of their last 12 outings and I fancy them too score & concede against a Magpies youth that have scored in 6 of 7 previous EFL trophy outings and conceded in 6 aswell. This makes the BTTS at EVENS very appealing
Sunderland v Newcastle U21 BTTS Evens
Another game that takes an interest is in the Greek Cup as PAOK are bidding too become only the 3rd club in history too win the trophy 3yrs on the spin. Today they travel too 2nd tier Panachaiki after disposing of another 2nd tier club Aittitos Sparta with a 6-0 away win in the previous round. With the Greek Super league matches suspended for the 5th time in 4 seasons it allows PAOK too play a full strength side in this cup game. The suspension this time is for an attack on a referee at his home in which he required hospital treatment and stitches after a serious assault, this comes after a suspension in March when the PAOK president entered the pitch with a GUN in his hand 😂
Anyhow I fancy PAOK too win this well today and like the look of both these….

Prijovic is their top scorer and 2nd top scorer in the league, he’ll be vital too the goals cause. He came of the bench at HT in the last round when 2-0 up and bagged a hatrick in 45mins so I’ll keep an eye on his inclusion when teams are announced
Can’t see Ross fielding a strong side but fans of both teams will want the bragging rights.

not a league I usually look at but over the new year period I came across a stat from the Gibraltar league and ive been looking out for this teams next game, the team in question being lions Gibraltar. in 12 league games this season they have lost 11 and won once, a 1-0 victory at the start of December. what is interesting, is that this is the only goal they have scored THIS SEASON. every game has seen btts no. they are away to 2nd placed Europa fc tonight who can go top with victory. they average 2 goals a game so its not one for me to look at value wise for team goals or handicap betting but bearing in mind what I said above I like the chances of a Europa win while keeping a clean sheet.

Last bet for the day and it’s a wee 5er on the 🇬🇷 Cup games.

EFL Trophy action tonight and its not a competition for big stakes primarily due to the fact we have no idea what sort of sides teams will be pouting out. That said, there’s usually goals in these games. Tie of the round is the Tyne-Wear derby between Sunderland and Newcastle u21’s and I’m liking Newcastle ‘s chances of grabbing a goal
Sunderland v Newcastle u21 (KO 7.45pm)
The fans will certainly look forward to this, albeit, not on the grand stage they would like to meet in but I’m not sure Sunderland boss Jack Ross will be too fussed given his side are right in the mix for automatic promotion and have a huge game against title Rivals Luton on Saturday.
Is he really going to risk his key players in EFL Trophy match against an u21 side? I think not
Sunderland are massive favourites but its worth noting this young Newcastle side are no mugs, they’ve already defeated three league sides in this years competition. (Doncaster 1-3, Notts County 0-2 Grimsby 2-3) those three wins were all away from home before beating Macclesfield at home on penalties in the last round.
Newcastle are a huge 8/1 to win this and whilst I’m not suggesting they will, being such a big price means we get a good price on them just to score
They’ve managed 9 goals so far in this comp and I’m taking them to grab a goal tonight against what I would expect to be a much weakened Sunderland side
Recommended Bet:

The PAOK teams are out and the top scorer ain’t in the squad which I’m assuming he’s injured but Karelis who scored twice in the previous round spearheads a pretty strong team which includes December player of the month Evgen Shakhov and the ones missing are part of a strong bench.

Afternoon gents,
Cracking stuff yesterday all winners and a shout out to Marmite Macca – love him or loath him, he’s spot on with his betting obervations related to the EPL teams – belting shout on Wolves!
I had nowhere near as much luck with both
‘Four or more’ goal picks falling just a goal shy with 3 goals in each…onwards though and I’m travelling back in time to the foothills of the prehistoric East Lancashire heartlands…
ACCRINGTON STANLEY VS. BURY (1945 KO):
I use the words ‘prehistoric’ and ‘going back in time’ but believe it or not, it really is 2019 up in Accy although you know it’s pretty bad when folk from Rawtentall, Ramsbottom and Bacup laugh at you for looking backwards…mind, the clogs and cloth caps don’t help much.
Shaker’s gaffer Ryan Lowe may not be moping about his dead whippet or the textile mill closing down but he does have a few dilemmas of his own; namely whether to stick with his mixed-bag but tried and tested cup X1 or whether to start with a stronger line-up.
The benefits are clear in that we could really do with a rare cup run and the much needed financial revenue that a sustained spell in the EFL Trophy would bring to our malnourished coffers but there is another more obvious disadvantage.
We face MK Dons next time out and the league has to be our priority, it’s been a season way above expectation but it’s really only our home form that has kept us where we are – away from home we have let way too many points slip away from our black pudding covered fingers (Bury not Stornoway by the way) to be entirely happy with our lot.
As it is, one decision may already be made for Lowe with our cup midfield trio of Dawson, Bajones and Styles all out injured – as a result, we just may have to call upon some regular first-team starters to bolster the starting line-up.
All interesting stuff (for me at least) and based on my ramblings and the fact that I can’t see us not scoring, it may just pay to stick with a goalscorer bet; step forward my shortlist of Chris Dagnell and Dom Telford – two players both with the ability to grab a goal and both members of our ‘Cup XI’ so far!
I can’t choose both because that’s just rubbish so I’ll stick with Dominic Telford simply because I believe he is a more natural finisher of the ball and gets himself into better scoring positions:
DOM TELFORD ATGS…11/5

From what I can see Spurs & Chelsea pretty much full strength – and seen a couple have put these up. Think Spurs are the stronger side and should be confident after their FA Cup trashing of Tranmere. Alli has scored more against Chelsea than any other side – think it is 6 – so worth a smaller dabble at decent odds
Spurs > 1.5 TGS 11/10
Alli ATGS 13/5 – quarter stake
Looks like Telford was the better choice – no Dagnell…here’s hoping 🤞
Also, Jay O’Shea gets a bit of a surprise start so have to add this at a massive price…too big given his form midfield and the likelyhood he will take any penalties:

Dutch Eerste Divisie – Sunday
Telstar v Helmond
This Sunday there is a full round of fixtures in the Eerste divisie. One fixture that jumps out to me is the Telstar v Helmond game. The home side is priced really short and I am not sure why.
Telstar only won 1 of their last 6 games and only won 1 of their last 5 home games. Telstar scored 22 goals and conceded 33 goals this season. 18 of these goals 22 were scored in the first 12 games of the season. Telstar had a couple of youngsters on loan who were really good at the beginning of the season, but it looks like none of them will star in the second half of the season. Striker Lescano has gone back to Parma, striker Seager will go back to Southampton and midfielder Kyle Scott is already back at Chelsea. That last player was really loved by the fans and they saw him as their best player. Due to an argument with the manager he is back in London now. It looks like these players were very important for this Telstar team in the beginning of the season.
Helmond Sport collected 7 points from their last 4 games. They only had 6 points before that 4 games. Helmond scored 20 goals in 19 and conceded 31. The big difference with Telstar is that Helmond drew 7 games (Telstar drew 1). Helmond will have most of their injured players back after the short winter break and I think they are too low in the table. I think the odds for this game are just wrong, Telstar should never be a 1.60 shot and I wouldn’t recommend to put money on that. Telstar were odds-on on two occasions this season. They were 1.48 when they beat Jong Utrecht who were bottom at the time and they were 1.80 in the cup game at AFC which they lost 5-0. I am not going to say Helmond will win this game, but at the prices you can have them on side with a win, a draw or get your stake back with a small loss. Telstar have won only 1 of their last 15 games by more than 1 goal.
Helmond Sport +1 Asian handicap is the bet @ 1.82 with 188
Jong Utrecht v Jong AZ
Somehow Jong AZ are priced as favourites in this game. Jong AZ are bottom of the league and won only 1 game all season. Not sure the bookies are aware that their topscorer Ferdy Druijf has gone on loan to NEC Nijmegen last week. You can still back him to score in this game…He scored 14 of the 22 Jong AZ goals this season. Jong AZ didn´t score more than 1 goal in their last 10 games and only scored more than 1 goals in 1 away game this season.
Jong Utrecht only lost 3 of their 9 home games this season and 2 games were lost in the 87th and 92th minute. Jong Utrecht haven´t lost in their last 3 home games and won 2 of these 3 games. They also scored a total of 9 goals in their last 3 home games. Jong Utrecht could have Nick Venema in the squad on Sunday. He already made 7 appearances in the first team, scoring 4 goals in the Eredivisie. He already scored 11 goals for Jong Utrecht this season.
Jong FC Utrecht +0.25 Asian handicap @ 1.70
Just found out some Jong AZ players are at the AZ training camp in Turkey and only will come back on Saturday, so can’t see them playing on Sunday. Schendelaar (GK) 15 games, Wegeilt (D) 14 games, Bergsma (D) 11 games, Wijndal (D) 11 games, Goudmijn (M) 13 games and Koopmeiners (M) 6 games.

Cant seem to shake the bad run – one corner short at the Spotland Stadium so the NAP and NB are both losers.
Some goals would be nice!! What’s going on :(:(

No worries fella. Just annoyed the info didn’t come through earlier haha
Have to fancy Chelsea to get something out of this.
Chelsea double chance 11/8 skybet
No joy on first goalscorer but Bury 3-2 up and a Dom Telford brace 😀
(Bet365)
🌟🌟✅
I almost wish I’d not checked the final team news and stuck with just the original Telford pick but Jay O’Shea’s surprise start was too good a price to ignore – hey ho – turns what would’ve been a slight profit into a slight loss!
Hopefully, anyone following just took the initial pick. Well done all winners and a cracker on the Over 1.5 EFL goals 7-fold Greg 👍

Adelaide vs Melbourne victory I tend to stay away from Australia, never fancied it in football gaming, but this game is a tight one to call and the bookies aren’t making it easy for WDW market but there’s something that says is gonna be a stalemate, both team might get on the act, but am going with my guys here:

***LOST*** a single corner :(
well done all winners and northampton keep up their scoring record, 11 now that is
Away out early doors and back late so post this up now in brief but will add thoughts and reasoning when have the chance tomorrow pending further team news:
MANCHESTER CITY VS. BURTON ALBION:
KDB may well be given some more much-needed game-time tomorrow and looks maybe the best value price for a goal given the short prices on attacking players.
I expect massive pressure from a strong starting
City side with home corners and home goals maybe worth a look for a bet-builder:
DE BRUYNE ATGS…7/5

OVER 3 CITY GOALS + OVER 8 CITY CORNERS…2/1
