There were no shocks last night with Portugal beating Switzerland to win their group and France doing likewise although it was a bit of a struggle against Belarus.
Greece sealed their play-off place and will be unseeded in the draw alongside Northern Ireland, Sweden and Republic of Ireland. Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Croatia are the four seeds and we could see four tight ties next month.
Well done to Greg and everyone else for their winners on Tuesday.
My Top Treble was fairly speculative and beaten by Sweden and Switzerland not scoring while my Super Single of Lionel Messi to score first fell in the first hurdle when Ecuador netted in the opening minute although Messi soon equalised and went on to hit a sparkling hat-trick as Argentina qualified, Chile exited and Peru clinched a play-off against New Zealand.
It will be two days of no bets for me and that will give me extra time to study the weekend card as we return to normal.

I think the idea is to use it as qualifiers to euro 20 and possibly the world cup 22 and next year is a dry run.
Aye we’re still gonna have qualifliers but it’s to get rid of the pointless international friendlies. It’s basically to cut down on friendlies. Euro 2020 qualifying will see top 2 from 10 groups go in automatically with no play-offs. The other 4 places will go to Nation League countries who haven’t qualified.
UEFA probably decided to make it as complicated as possible.
Scotland are in League C – only one side from there who didn’t qualify for Euro 2020 will be given a place so it’s nothing to do with us finishing top four. All the countries go into groups of 3 or 4.

All I will say on this is under current management which of the two teams have improved and ask fans of any other team and I’m pretty sure I know which squad/team they would prefer to have at present.
Not being a fan of either club gives me the ability to look at it objectively mate and I doubt even the most ardent of Liverpool fans could tell me they are playing better than United at the moment.
