IT was one out of two on my double last night and officially I know more about Great Danes than great Danes.
Nordsjaelland looked good on paper but were shocked 2-1 at home to Aarhus while Besiktas kept up their side of the bargain with a 2-0 win.
Apologies for that Danish bet but that's the risk when backing lesser-known sides and in hindsight I should have probably left them alone.
So we move on to a busy Tuesday with the card dominated by EFL Cup matches so team news is vital with most all the Premier League sides making changes as well as most of the Championship outfits.
In Scotland there are two Betfred Cup quarter-finals with Partick Thistle hosting Rangers at Firhill four days after holding them 2-2 in the league. This promises to be another tight affair and I can see a few goals again.
I've posted a Scottish preview with the other tie featuring Hibs v Livingston. Hibs have gone off the boil after starting with two Premiership wins but they have goals in them and should win this by at least two.
Elsewhere on-form Wigan should beat Northampton in League One and there are big games to look at on the continent including Barcelona v Eibar in La Liga and Schalke v Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
And I'm sure Greg will post Ligue 2 tips and maybe have a look at the Dutch Cup which features many Jupiler sides such as Top Oss, Helmond Sport and Eindhoven.
I've put up a post with EFL Cup team news and the bottom line is almost every team will make changes – the Premier League sides more than others. Either you look at goals bets or wait to see line-ups before backing anyone.
My goals treble is reasoned on another thread and my Top Treble is Hibs and over 1.5 match goals, both to score at Partick v Rangers and a Wigan side who have won back-to-back games 3-0.
Was struggling to find a Super Single but decided to go with Lionel Messi to score first. He's netted five in his last two home matches against Juventus and Espanyol and seems to have stepped up again since Neymar departed. He'll probably score first or second so let's hope it's the opener at 21-10 with William Hill.
Looking ahead to the weekend and we have the first Old Firm game of the season at Ibrox. I'll preview this game in full towards the end of the week but on Sunday night I posted two Super Singles – and as always with Rangers and Celtic they have split opinion. If you don't agree simply back what you believe in.

I got stick for the Old Firm Super Singles I put up on Sunday but after watching Rangers tonight I’m even more confident. Not impressed at all.
I’ve just stuck it on for ET but after watching 15 mins against Partick on Friday botg teams were hopeless, could hardly a pass tge baw 10 yards without it going to opposotion
