WE'VE reached the final day of the year and it's been a busy one on the site.
Thanks to all the genuine contributors and to all the tipsters who contribute day in day out.
While there are no games to look at today I've been studying the New Year Day card in England – in Scotland we're not daft enough to consider any kind of exercise after a bucketful of whisky the night before.
Even putting a line on come Wednesday afternoon might be difficult after the Hogmanay celebrations.
I'll probably put on all my bets tonight and one of the first teams on it will be Burnley who entertain Aston Villa in one of the 12.30 kick-offs. Burnley are just under evens against a side who have been poor in recent weeks culminating in a 3-0 defeat at 10-man Watford at the weekend.
Other teams I like are Leicester, who will restore their top players, at Newcastle but this one's a bit short and you can have 10-11 on Man United draw no bet at Arsenal.
I'll post an English preview later after studying form and stats in the RFO.
Meanwhile, there are some match previews already up including kevinmac's thoughts on Arsenal vs Man United.
Monday was a no-bet day for me but I suggested btts at Derby vs Charlton that landed late on. Well done to Rams fans Nathan who tipped over 3.5 cards and predicted a narrow Derby win and Scott also backed btts on his members bet.
Mr Fixit's December Advised Super Singles Final Total: -8.6pts
Mr Fixit's December Advised Accas AFinal Total: -18.7pts
Really enjoyed joining and using the site this year, as a newcomer I feel welcome and appreciate the behind the scenes rigmarole that research for these tips entails.
Obviously the highs in particular, including some incredible tipping from Mr Fixit himself and others on the site (looking at you Greg). But even some of the lows provided entertaining drama; more twists and turns and a better story than the final season of Game of Thrones plopped onto our T.Vs.
Heading down to Liverpool for NYE, so I’ll say happy new year to everyone on the site and here’s to a happy 2020’s now before I’m too burst to function any technology beyond a bottle opener.
Thanks to Mr Fixit and all for such a great site. Don’t tip loads but read almost everything.
I’m enjoying a lot of recent success with penalties, own goals and red cards in the Aus A League. I know there are other tipsters who follow this league – cracking league although also suffering from VAR issues.
On it again this morning (kick off at 8am).
Will be on pen scored/pen missed for each team (365), own goal (365) and then red card (5:1 – PP) and both teams red card (55/1 -PP)
Best of luck all and best wishes for the new year!
Oz 8am
CCM over 3.5mgs 8/5
Fornaroli ags 21/20
Good luck
Happy New year to you Mr Fixit and all tipsters may we bash the bookies in 2020 goodluck everyone today and every day in 2020 bye
Feels a lifetime since I last posted on here… been so busy of late, and more importantly had no need to post much either, since you blokes are all killing it. Hull, Greg, macca and others, absolute bloody legends!
In brief, only game of note tonight is my own A-League. It’s been a bit hit & miss so far this season, and I have to agree with amzie, that VAR isn’t doing it any favours. I do fancy the Glory to put the Mariners to the sword tonight, but the odds really aren’t there for what is always in the A-League, a risky away win.
I fancy Fornaroli, who’s hit form lately to net a goal, and I anticipate that Perth will be on the attack, so will also back them to score a penalty. Lastly will be on goals, as I think the line is underestimated for what I feel will be a free scoring game.
Tips:
Fornaroli – atgs @ 1.80
Perth to score a penalty @ 6.0
Over 3 goals @ 2.075
Cheers folks & best of luck!
Good to see you back Obi, like to read your Aussie match previews and WD with Fornaroli.

Same thoughts as others this morning and Fornaroli for Perth to do the business:

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Happy new year mr fix it
4 different ones in one morning no wonder he’s always getting confused
Happy new year to all when it comes and all the best to everybody in 2020!
My advice would be to keep stakes to a minimum tomorrow, hectic period coming to an end with a lot of players fatigued and some will probably be out on the lash tonight 😉
Mr F, keep Burnley off your lines tomorrow. This season been the worst I’ve seen us perform since our return to the Prem. Unlike us to be regularly making so many defensive changes, simply making too many errors and don’t have the solidarity we’ve had in recent years. Positive results before Christmas at Bournemouth and at home to Newcastle, watched both and incredibly fortunate to come out victorious. One chance on our part and buried it.
Was chatting to my mate who’s a Burnley fan who said much the same. Since Defour went there’s no creativity at all in centre mid so they’ve resorted back to the bad old days of sit back, defend like buggery and try to rag a goal. Barely had a shot on target in the last few games.
However, villa is a must win game as some tough fixtures after that so they have to go for it somehow.
I still think Burnley are better than the Villa team I’ve seen recently but I’ll bear your comment in mind.
Great stat in RFO which convinces me about Burnley – they have beaten every bottom half team at home this season without conceding a goal. 1-0 Burnley would do it.
Have been quite surprised to see Villa’s recent results after seeing them look very good against Newcastle and Man Utd not too long ago with Grealish running the show.
They are certainly capable of better than their recent showings.
Missing John McGinn and Tyrone Mings although Mings could be back tomorrow.
Absolutely spot on Professor, probably the best passer of the ball ive ever seen play for us. Problem was with the Belgian is that he was used to playing sides that dominated the ball and dictated play and often didn’t have the stamina to complete the full 90 for us.
No value in backing us at odds on Mr F, I’d be wanting 5/4 not 5/6. Better games, better bets out there tomorrow.
At the moment I’ve only looked at the Premier League but still think Burnley are decent – now 9-10.
Picks for tomorrow. Again focussed on goals;
–Double–

Fraser Aird Axed by Cove
FRASER AIRD has been axed by Cove Rangers after his w***** gesture towards the Celtic support at Sunday’s Old Firm game.
lol pretty much
He had 2 days left on his contract I am guessing the papers are trying to sensationalise it not being renewed 😂😂
Papers are stating the facts so don’t blame us. Aird did what he did and has apologised. It’s Cove who have created the headlines by sacking him when he was leaving in a few days anyway.
Mr F- absolutely. Cove are trying to get the headlines and brownie points for taking a moral stance. But the fact is, if he was a better player they would have shut up and kept him!
I can’t speak for Cove but they could have just him let him go without a fuss. Rangers fans will say he’s been sacked because Cove boss Paul Hartley is an ex-Celt but that’s ridiculous.
