TWO teams had chances to win titles in Scotland yesterday and both almost blew it – so how will Celtic fare on Sunday.

Raith handed the League One trophy to Ayr when they were held 0-0 at home to Alloa and Montrose sealed the deal in League Two despite being held at home to Elgin.

Now it's the turn of Celtic who need to beat Rangers at home to clinch seven in a row and I reckon they'll get there after missing a chance to do it against Hibs last weekend.

Saturday's results were tough all round and well done to anyone who managed a decent win. I finished 1pt down on the accumulators thanks a winning both to score Scottish treble at 6-1.

Winners yesterday included Greg with two correct tips out of three, Desmond with an over 2.5 goals treble and Scott with a Euro both to score treble.

Celtic routed Rangers in the Scottish Cup and while I expect more from the Ibrox men I can't see past a home win at 1-2.

For a Super Single double I'm adding Man United to beat an Arsenal side who are bound to have one eye on Thursday's Europa League semi-final return at Atletico Madrid after a 1-1 home draw.

Incredibly the Gunners haven't won a Premier League point on the road this season – losing all five – and Arsene Wenger has won just two out of 18 against Jose Mourinho sides.

I've added a goals treble and may put up a Top Treble before heading out to watch Celtic v Rangers. My tips for that one are on the Scottish preview posted on Friday night – to sum up Celtic, Celtic -1 and possibly Callum McGregor to score.

Kristoffer Ajer has yet toscore for Celtic butits o it a matter of time before he does. The 6ft 4 defender goes up for every corner and I’ve got a funny feeling he’s going to be the first goalscorer tomorrow. He’s 50/1 to score first. His previous club Start he scored 9 goals in 54 appearances which to be fair is not bad for a defender. Another bet I like the look of is Tom Rogic to score anytime from outside the box at 14/1 with Skybet. For the semi final he was 7/1 for the same bet but this time he’s 10/1 with Skybet which is boosted to 14/. Just make sure you click on the price boosts. Rogic is a big game player and quite often takes a shot from outside the box.

    Recommended Bets

KRISTOFFER AJER FIRST GOALSCORER @ 50/1 (BetVictor)

TOM ROGIC TO SCORE ANYTIME FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX @ 14/1 (Skybet)

    Good luck guys.

I think Ajer was a central midfielder at Start hence the goal ratio being half decent but as you say he’s due a goal and we should get a few corners today that will give him an opportunity.

      Rogic speaks for itself

I see Gerrard took the Rangers job, hope the move proves to be a good un,i’ll bet there is a few Liverpool youngsters end up there on loan.

    • cockerspaniel 6 years ago

      Don`t think that`s been confirmed macca ?

    • mr h 6 years ago

Macca I’ll bet my bottom dollar he’ll be back down the Mersey in 18 months with a tarnished reputation and no trophies. Rangers need a man of experience and guile too work with an inferior budget too their rivals. They don’t need some ex superstar player cutting his teeth in one of the highest pressure jobs in football. Just ask John Barnes

    • eddie o 6 years ago

They are saying that Gary McAllister is his assistant
      Can`t see it myself

He will be his assistant, they have agreed.

    • micky lfc 6 years ago

Mr H completely agree but I hope we are wrong

    • sean567 6 years ago

Youngsters- yes. Guys like Sturbridge and ings? Wouldn’t bet bad money on it. Great job if they let him get on with it and learn as a coach. But this is Glasgow. First is first and second is nowhere and results in you losing your job most of the time. As I said the other day, to me it smacks of get a big name in without having to pay big money.

    • mr h 6 years ago

The best man for the job is 30 miles away in Ayrshire and goes by the name Steve. They should move heaven & earth too get Clarke in the hot seat but apparently he doesn’t want the gig like McInnes. Maybe they see the disarray at boardroom level too much too allow them too do the job properly. Who knows but Stevie G ain’t the answer

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Steve Clarke has said if he leaves Killie it will be to go back to England where his family are.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Gerrards accepted so it doesn’t matter now,he’s the new manager with Gary mac as his assistant,Gary Mac is Scottish so he knows what the club wants also.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Rangers fans ought to be realistic, spent all that time out of the top flight and they want to come back and win it straight away, doesn’t work like that, maybe a few good runs in the europa league to get finances up then they will be able to compete.

    • sean567 6 years ago

There’s no realism macca, (for the most part anyway). There’s the watp mentality that says they must be back and winning titles straight away, and there’s also the desperation to stop Celtic getting to 10 in a row. That’s why most observers up here don’t see gerrard as being a good fit for the club (at this moment in time). An experienced manager who can improve players through quality coaching while not having to spend tens of millions was widely regarded as rangers best chance of achieving that. Stevie g might turn out to have those qualities but he’s untried, untested and it’s unknown. It’s a huge gamble if it happens

    • maccathered 6 years ago

It is happening.Rangers will be playing the Liverpool way lovely stuff.

    • sean567 6 years ago

If playing the Liverpool way means rangers won’t win the league for the next 20 odd years then I’ll be happy with that ???

    • mr h 6 years ago

      Second that ☝️?

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Playing the Liverpool way you would win the league every season in the scottish league, they may not have won the league but they have won everything else, also champions league titles, lol

    • swcfc1888 6 years ago

    • mr h 6 years ago

Macca you’re missing the key ingredient there buddy…Liverpool players too win the league playing The Liverpool way ?

Hello good people..what are your thoughts on Celtic to win and over 1.5 match goals?

    • mr h 6 years ago

It’s been a winner in 7 of the last 10 meetings. There’s no bankers as we know but it’s a serious chance of winning

    Morning gents,

One standout game for me this evening in SA and I’ll be making tracks for Bolivia on the hunt for goals…

REAL POTOSÍ VS. WILSTERMANN (2000 KO):

I can’t say it enough, Wilstermann are THE team of the moment in the Bolivian top-flight, they are leaving the rest standing and are opening up their gap at the top against the mighty Bolivar game by game.

And still the bookies are not giving them the respect they deserve…that’s fine by me and I may be wrong but I honestly think they’ve got the prices way out here.

Jorge have score 7-5-3-2-4-4-1-3 team goals in their last 8 consecutive games and will be tackling an ‘OK’ Potosi side sitting 5th but having conceded 2 or more goals in 7 of their last 9 Primera fixtures.

H2Hs spell out goals with a capital G; 4-2-7-4-1-4-5-7 match goals across the most recent 8 since May 2016 is pretty consistent and given the current form for both, I reckon we will be in for a few more.

    Three selections to consider:

    WILSTERMANN OVER 1.5 TGS…5/6
    ?????

    OVER 3.5 MGS…6/4
    ???

    WILSTERMANN WIN & OVER 2.5 MGS…3/1
    ??

    Best of luck ?

In a small bit of profit for the month but with it being a decent year this far I’m going to take the plunge a little today as April comes to a close and see what happens. Sadly a lot of value from trusty Denmark has been sucked dry. One speculative effort there, but otherwise I’ll be monitoring the two games in-play.

Turning instead to Norway with a hodgepodge of picks based on early season form. Going to chance the Tromso game on the single, too.

Having a pop at one of Hull’s favourites to round off the Sunday. Real Potosi’s home games have been remarkable in the last year. 17 of the last 20 seeing BTTS and they’ve scored in all 20. 14 of those 17 have seen BTTS and Overs land. Wilstermann are doing brilliantly in Group A but their away form is nothing like their home form. They have scored in 5 of the 6 aways, though.

    Brann [To Score]

Hi gents. Just my luck that I did jinx Almere last night who kept a rare clean sheet against Volendam. Today I’m on goals in Serie A with Benevento hosting Udinese. The home side are already relegated, and you can see the pressure is no longer on them as they are in their best form of the season. Despite their defensive struggles, they’ve still managed to score 2+ at home in three of their last five, and have only failed to score twice in their last 10 home games. Udinese are fighting for survival after 11 straight league losses. Udinese won the reverse leg 2-0 but Benevento had double the amount fo efforts at goal. Expect both to score today and I’m on the extra goal.

    Benevento/Udinese Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/5 @ 365 – 5 points

lifebhoy, rangers will get a fine for no interview after the match its part of the contractual agreement that a club official has to answer press questions after the game, doesn’t need to be part of the management or a player just a club official, as far as I can see none was done just another embarrassement in a season full of them afraid………………

just in from the game and thought I’d seen the worst, gutless performance from a rangers team in my life 2 weeks ago…………… oh how wrong I was, it could of been 8 or 9 had it not been for our keeper, I’m pretty fair minded and don’t wish to detract from what was a good performance celtic put in but they were playing against nothing today…………….

I’m sure I’m not the only rangers fan that fears the worst again next season stevie G or not………… imo not a good choice for the next rangers manager and potentially catastrophic for both parties…………..

on a lighter note, I think the next rangers manager as a minimum needs to have English as his first language…………… (sorry macca couldn’t resist it…………..)

Hey-hey winner (for a change). Thanks to @hullshaker for 2nd half of bet below ?
Some great tips on the site today, WD all winners ? ? ?
    =———————————–
After last game, rangers were heavily criticised for lack of fight and spirit. As a result, think there is real value on William Hills over 3 cards for rangers at 11-10. If Celtic get ahead then could also result in loss of discipline for murtys last celtic game…doubling it with Hullshakers Nap pays just under 7-2. Good luck all ?

One more game I like the look of this evening in SA…

UNIVERSIDAD CHILE VS. UNIV. CONCEPCIÓN (2130 KO):

Goals look a touch too underpriced here – both teams recent games have featured plenty and although the 7-0 COL thrashing of the hosts by Cruzeiro was exagerrated by two early reds, there’s plenty to indicate more action here.

8 of their combined last 6 matches have seen BTTS getting a look-in with a whopping 43 goals across the 12 games…that avarages 3.6 goals during the spell.

H2H’s have been good to me in recent seasons and one of the more consistent in Chile with match goals totalling 4-0-4-4-2-1-5.

    Two selections:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…11/10
    ???

    BTTS 1ST HALF…10/3
    ?

    Best of luck.

  66. HullShaker 6 years ago

Final score 0-6 and a Full House!

    ????? ?

    OVER 3.5 MGS…6/4
    ??? ?

    WILSTERMANN WIN & OVER 2.5 MGS…3/1
    ?? ?
