EVERY week I read about a lucky punter who strikes it rich doing random goals bets.
It makes me a little sick since the tips I put up are logical, well researched and in the main have a decent chance of landing.
But I don't think anything's wrong with sticking a quid on a crazy line – if you land it once in your lifetime it will be something you'll never forget.
An esteemed colleague won £13k recently on a throwaway stake on every English League Two match going over 2.5 goals. And it's the not the first time he's hit the jackpot.
Greg Browning loves a mad goals bet and I hope he contributes to this new thread which I'm going to regularly feature and it would be magic if we hit one.
I'll offer up a variety of bets – both to score, over 2.5, half-time goals, team goals and maybe even unders. Crucially all will be random – no research involved.
But these bets can trap – for example loads of people cashed in last midweek when both teams scored in 10 out of 10 Premier League matches. That's the kind of bet I'm looking at.
That one paid 440-1 at Ladbrokes and bigger in other places and my first mad mental goals bet returns 3764-1 at BetStars and is a hugely ambitious 16-timer on over 2.5 match goals in all the Champions League games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I've placed my bet with McBookie at 3240-1 so quite a difference but of course I'm not expecting to win. The difference in prices is unreal with William Hill for example paying 2700-1.
Let's hear suggestions for mad mental goals bets – for example all but one team (Berwick) scored in Scotland's League One and League Two matches at the weekend and both scored in all of the Serie Sunday games except the late one between Milan and Torino.
My stakes will be £1 maximum – not even close to half a pint – and remember if there's a flurry of early goals you may get a cashout offer that makes your quid grow significantly.

Sunday I did a euro 14fold on the horses for $1million, ended up with 9/14 always a few short price horses to let you down but if you can get the first 7 or 8 in a row up then as you say you are looking at a tidy cashout, or let it run as if your luck is in..its in!
Online cant do more than a 14 fold so will have to do first 8 tomorrow at 63/1 and lump that winnings on Wednesday nights action at 44.6/1 looks like its about 2938/1 overall but wonder if prices might shorten considerably if first night all are up? I’m up for the craic anyway

it’s my mainstay! i love a goals bet, as long as you don’t do unders or btnts then the bet is alive for the whole match!! the cashout function comes into its own, you can watch it tick slowly downwards and then shoot back up with a flurry of goals! ideal for an afternoon in front of final score, or an evening with one of the livescore apps.

Hello ! Since this is a fun bet I wish good luck to anyone trying it out ! Justed wanted to say this looks like a 16 digit binary system . Such system can produce 65356 patterns . This is really complicated if we think that each game has to produce 3 goals . I dont know if going for over 1.5 goals or over 0.5 goals per game makes any difference . I’m sorry if I’m wrong about this ! Good luck again !
We’re aware of that. Obviously going over 1.5 or 0.5 have better chances of winning hence shorter odds.

Love these throwaway bets. I do a daft double ew bet on the Euro tour and PGA tour every week. I also do Btts on kids and grandkids birthdays. That’s a ten fold. You’ve got to speculate to accumulate. Haha
