The Caddy was back on the winners podium last night in the DP World Tour.
Sweden’s Vincent Norrman claimed a one shot victory with a fantastic final round in the Irish Open. He forced his way in to contention then had to watch as the chasing pack all faltered.
Norman was picked out by The Caddy earlier in the week at 45/1, a great shout on the Swede who now enters the World’s Top 100.
The Caddy will be back this week with more DP World Tour tips for the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and of course if you want to follow more tips from one of the best golf tipsters out there then you can join his private Telegram channel here.
Pressure is mounting on Wales manager Rob Page who has guided his side to just one win their last 13 outings – a 1-0 win over tonight’s opponents, Latvia. With just four points from four matches the Dragons’ qualification chances are hanging in the balance and a win in Latvia is a must in Riga.
The good news for Page is that the Latvians are in just as ropey form. They’re winless in eight and have come up short against higher-ranked opposition in Group D, suffering four defeats in four.
However, they thought they’d nicked a point at home to Turkey by equalising in the 94th minute but conceded a minute later to lose all three points. It was another late goal that denied them a point in Armenia when they conceded a 91st minute penalty so the away win might not be as cut and dried as the 1/2 odds suggest.
Any kind of win will do for Wales and we can cover a few bases by backing Latvia +1.0 on the Asian Handicap at even money (2.000). Only a Welsh win by more than one goal would see us lose out, with a win goal win giving us our money back.
It feels like a long time ago since Iceland were rubbing shoulders with the best in the world at major tournaments. Since the start of the decade they’ve won just nine matches (versus Canada, El Salvador, Liechtenstein x2, Faroe Islands, San Marino and Venezuela) and look like a nation in decline on the football pitch.
Tonight they host Bosnia and Herzegovina, for whom the likes of Edin Džeko and Miralem Pjanić might have seen better days, but who still have quality amid their ranks.
They slipped to a surprise 2-0 defeat to Luxembourg during the last international break but after an impressive Nations League campaign in which they topped a group that included Finland, Montenego and Romania, Meho Kodro’s men will be confident of a repeat win over Iceland whom they beat 3-0 earlier in the campaign.

With Greece landing 16 corners last night it ensured a good day with 6/10 winners in the football despite the poor start. A little unlucky in the Moldova match & Netherlands being 1 corner short as well.

8/14 winners in the NFL yesterday means a profitable start to the season. A couple of selections were just short as well.
Poor in the tennis over the last few days which unfortunately meant the US open ended up in a small loss overall.
Well done all winners yesterday
Bosnia win and over 1 goal
Luxembourg U21 v England U21 over 4 goals

Wish they would do something about these never ending prolonged weekends of internationals. Must be something that can be changed, play more qualifiers in the summer or something. Always a dire weekend sport wise.
Aye thats right, lets play more international games in the summer while many clubs are negotiating European qualifiers just so Joe Public doesnt miss a weekend of betting in September
May , couple of weeks directly after the season ends. You could get 4 rounds of qualifiers in. The poor dears get paid enough to do it. As for betting, in case you don’t know you can bet on football 24/7 365 days a year, no weekends are missed ever.
Yeah another great idea from Mr Sarcasm, lets extend the season with more internationals after some players have played 40/50 games for their clubs between July and May.
If you put as much thought into your plans to rearrange the fixture lists as you do your witty sarcastic comments about football being available for bets every day of the year then maybe, just maybe you will come up with a better idea than your 2 previous brain fart suggestions to fill the summer months with internationals
What’s the problem? Most fans have been looking forward to the club season, it has barely started weeks and there is an international break, followed by another in October. That is two weeks missing. The club season could actually finish earlier without these breaks. In a world cup campaign or European championship they would be playing anyway in summer. Maybe you like international breaks that’s fair enough but it’s about a difference of opinion. I’ll not even resort to personal attacks ffs.

Got the Nap courtesy of a 27th minute Kazak goal – 40 minutes ahead of the 67 minute team goal line! No joy on the Nb/Longshot mind.
LATVIA VS. WALES (7.45pm)
Looks a tight affair and whilst it won’t be a popular pick,I’m taking both to score:

Obviously I hope Wales will win bit we don’t really score many and I reckon 1-1 Mr shaker
There’s your 1st Elvis and a penalty so both happy 😂
Armenia vs Croatia
I watched the 2nd half of the Armenia match against Turkey and I thought they were pretty awful. Turkey could and should have scored at least 2 or 3 more times. The goalkeeper and some of the defending was pretty suspect to say the least. I fancy Croatia to get the 3 points today and move to the top of the group. Armenia are likely to try and defend early on so I can see Croatia with a lot of the ball and hopefully lead to corners. Two bets for me in this one.
Croatia -1.5 @ 2.12 Pinnacle
Croatia Over 5.5 Corners @ 2.10 Paddy Power
Slovakia vs Liechtenstein
It worked well in the Greece game last night and I fancy Slovakia to get a decent number of corners tonight. They are not the most prolific teams having only scored 5 goals in qualifying so far including a narrow 1-0 away to today’s opponents. At home I expect them to win a little easier but Liechtenstein have only lost more than 3 goals twice in the last 2 years and Bosnia only managed a 2-1 at home at the weekend. So far in the group Liechtenstein opponents have had 11, 14 (Slovakia), 9, 9 & 12 corners.
Slovakia Over 9.5 Corners @ 1.85 Paddy Power (NAP)
Slovakia Over 11.5 Corners @ 3.0 Paddy Power (NB)
Slovakia Over 13.5 Corners @ 5.0 Bet365
Slovakia Over 15.5 Corners @ 10.00 Bet365 (long shot)
Iceland vs Bosnia
Fancy a few goals in this one. Iceland were all over the place defensively against Luxembourg and are now miss starting CB Hordur Magnusson through suspension. Following that defeat, Iceland realistically have very little hope of qualifying from the group so may play with a little more freedom. Bosnia on the other hand simply must win this match to keep any slim hopes of qualification still alive, a draw just won’t be enough with both Slovakia & Portugal likely to win tonight. Despite struggling in the group Iceland have still scored the 2nd most with 9 goals but also have the 2nd worst defensive record. Bosnia have also only kept 1 clean sheet so far when they beat Iceland in the reverse fixture 3-0. With the expectation of an open game corners should also have a decent shot of landing.

Wales 30+ booking pts @ 2.88 Skybet
Likely to be a close game in what is a must win match for the Welsh. Will likely either need to be chasing a game or hanging on to a lead towards the end of the game which will hopefully mean some bookings.

Well done all winners
A rubbish night in the footy with only 3 winners. Croatia completely dominated Armenia but could only manage 1 goal despite 26 attempts and missing a host of sitters. Slovakia score 3 times with their first 3 shots within the first 6 minutes of the game meaning the corners was always going to struggle. An Iceland card short. Loads of bookings in the Wales game but all to the wrong team! One of those days.
Well done all winners.
