Wednesday, Caledonian Stadium, 7.45pm
FIRSTLY, thanks to everyone who commented on my debut post last weekend. I've taken over the SFL treble and started with an 11-1 winner.
My teams were Ross County, Alloa and East Fife. It was going to be County, Alloa and Stranraer but have to give Mr Fixit some credit for steering me towards the Fifers who have made a good start under new boss Gordon Durie.
I was also on Mr Fixit's Bonkers Bet last night and he should enter himself into his Daily Record Line of the Week contest after two 90th-minute goals brought up his 10-1 prediction of Spurs 3, Bolton 1.
Right, that's enough bumming up the boss. He says I'm under pressure to produce the goods after my super start but he's not given me an easy task of predicting the result at Inverness tonight.
Terry Butcher's men are 11 points clear of bottom spot after Saturday's win at Aberdeen and that's safety as far as I'm concerned with Dunfermline and Hibs fighting to stay up.
St Johnstone also won at the weekend, 2-1 at home to Hearts, and Steve Lomas is eyeing up a European place.
Saints have won seven on the road and ICT just four at home and I'm going for the away win, although I don't think there will be much in it.
You can have Saints at 7-4 with Ladbrokes, Inverness at 7-4 with William Hill and Skybet and 23-10 the draw at Skybet.
Fran Sandaza is back in the goals and will be lifted by his penalty winner against Hearts. Try him for first goal at 11-2 with BetVictor.
ICT's matchwinner at Pittodrie was Gregory Tade and he is 7-1 at Skybet and William Hill to blast the deadlock-breaker.
The last three meetings between the sides have been under 2.5 goals and this could be another slow burner. Consider first goal at over 31 minutes at 23-10 with William Hill.
Recommendations
St Johnstone
(7-4, Ladbrokes)
Sandaza to score
(13-8, Paddy Power, bet365)
First goal time over 31mins
(23-10, William Hill)
Haha ‘bumming up the boss’ I hope that translates well for the foreign visitors to the site!
Good luck tonight although you do realise the haters will be on if there’s not more winners ;)
Charlie, I bought him a couple of bottles of his favourite strawberry beer as a thank you. Now the Belgians will know that’s a real man’s drink. He’s also told me “you’re only as good as your last win” so come on St Johnstone.
0-1 – Sandaza! Great shout, Scott! Thanks. No offence but where have you come from?
Robbie, Sandaza was a great shout. As far as Scott’s been concerned I’ve been mentoring him for years and we’ve just decided to let him loose. I’ve done the Gomez/Messi double that I tipped and Sandaza as doubles and trebles so nice return if Messi does the business.
On messie and Gomez 1st goalscorer double.
