THE big names keep on tumbling at the Miami Open with Serena Williams and Andy Murray both crashing out in the third round yesterday.
They follow hot on the heels of Stan Wawrinka, Rafa Nadal and Petra Kvitova who all lost in the previous round and today it's the turn of world No.1 Novak Djokovic and Kei Nishikori to try to dodge a bullet.
Defending champ Djokovic is 1-10 at marathonbet to see off Dominic Thiem – and 2-7 at bet365 to progress in straight sets – while sixth seed Nishikori is 1-3 at Ladbrokes in his battle with Roberto Bautista-Agut (11-14, Skybet).
There were also shocks on day one of snooker's China Open with Neil Robertson and Ding Junhui both falling by the wayside. Today's matches features the likes of Judd Trump and Marcu Fu in the final ranking event of the season before next month's World Championships.
There's also the usual batch of NBA games tonight and Jordan will post his top tips below.
Good with the bad. Rose hits a 3 at the buzzer to give the Hawks a 2 point win so void the main bet. (Lucky sod Raoul :D ). Fourfold still on though but not going to watch the Portland game. Should be a given for Portland with all the Kings players out tonight (he says).
Atlanta Hawks -2 @ 43/50 @ 888 – 2.5 points **VOID**
Miami Heat -2 – WON
Atlanta Hawks ML – WON
Minnesota Timberwolves ML – WON
Portland Trail Blazers -2 – IN PLAY
5/2 @ 365 – 0.5 a point **PENDING**
Miami Heat -1.5
Minnesota Timberwolves ML
Portland Trail Blazers -5
Treble @ 2.13 (Bet 365) – 2 Points. – *WON*
Chicago Bulls +3 @ 1.90 (Bet 365) – 1.3 Points. – *WON*
Got a bit of luck last night, as Jordan mention haha ?.. the 3.5 points was just enough for the cover.
17-9 (65.4) last 26 bets.
Well done to the winners.
Cycling: 3 days of De Panne stage 1
Match-up:
De Vreese to beat Fuglsang @ 1.61 with Betfair
Not a lot that i like for today’s stage. Short odds, but worth a go.
Was on Raoul thx and Jordan four fold good night added both teams not to score in northern Ireland game
Cricket outright 20/20 India 5/4 with coral .they got out of jail against Bangladesh then beat a good Aussie side seem rejuvenated 2 pt
Had them 2/1 at the start of the comp, as much as it hurts me knowing we (west indies) playing them in the in the semi final i can’t see them messing up from here either
Haha nice one Raoul. If that 3 made it a 1 point win I would have been fuming but a void and 5/2 winner is fine for me. Tough card tonight!
My OKC Thunder have been knocking off the East teams like they are nothing over the last few weeks. They have beaten the Raptors, Pacers and Celtics on the road over their last 7 games. Three of those are in the top five teams in the East, with tonights opponents Detroit sitting eighth in the seeding. Billy Donovan has said he doesn’t plan on resting anyone over this b2b set, and with the Thunder on a role (8 straight wins) and Westbrook making triple-doubles look like an everyday thing, they could get the W tonight and cover another small spread.
OKC Thunder -2 @ 10/11 @ 888 – 3.3 points
Haha cheers man, I got very lucky indeed..! ?
That 3 pointer was meaningless haha.
A few bets I like tonight, I’ll post them later.. but for now I’m thinking about having a punt at a prop bet.
For those that aren’t aware LeBron James will be rested at home tonight against the Rockets, this means more minutes and focus on Kyrie Irving.
LBJ hasn’t’ missed many games, but I’ve done a bit of digging around and picked out 2 recent games which Irving played and LeBron didn’t.
Game 1 – March 16th Mavericks @ Cav’s – Irving 33 Points (39 mins)
Game 2 – Feb 28th Cavs @ Wizards – Irving 28 Points (32 mins)
The 33 points at home to the Mavericks was a season high for Irving, who has an average of 19.4 for the season.
Last time they played the Rockets Kyrie Irving got 23 points (30 mins).
Paddy Power have his total set at 25 points, and I think he can go over that tonight as he’ll have more minute.
Kyrie Irving Over 25 Points @ 1.80 (PP)
I’ve not placed a bet yet, more of a lean at the mo and get some thoughts from others.. @jordan

I’ll summarize why I like the Pistons tonight in 5 words…
B2b, Let down, Revenge, Playoffs, Look ahead.
Good luck (on the opposite side again Jordan! haha).
Ok technically 9 words, but 5 reasons :P.
Right, last night I wished you luck but you can p*ss off now haha :D Won’t be no buzzer beating 3 helping you tonight ;)
Hahaha… I had this on my radar yesterday, IF they covered against the Raptors.. which they did.
Nope, won’t need a buzzer beater tonight, lets do this Pistons! :D
There can only be one winner ;)
