BODO-GLIMT are causing shockwaves again in Europe –but for all the wrong reasons.

The Norwegian champs made people sit up and take notice last season with epic wins over Roma and Celtic in the Conference League.

That suggested they might stand a chance of reaching the Champions League this summer but their form in the qualifiers has been terrible so far.

Bodo-Glimt only just scraped past Faroese side Klasvik 4-3 on aggregate and now face a sweat after losing 1-0 to Linfield.

They will be desperate to overturn that deficit back in Norway this Wednesday but first face a domestic game against Jerv.

Kjetil Knutsen might be tempted to rest some players but today’s clash is also a must-win as they try to cut the eight-point gap on leaders Molde.

Jerv are in dismal form, winning just one of their last 11, but drew 1-1 at Molde a couple of weeks ago.

That means Bodo can’t afford to be complacent and I fancy BTTS at 10/11 with Unibet as it has come up in Jerv’s last three outings.

Combining that with a win for the champions boosts the odds to 5/4 with McBookie.

Molde face a tricky game away to a Sandefjord side who won 2-1 at Jerv in their last outing.

Thrills have been pretty much guaranteed with Sandefjord as BTTS and over 2.5 goals have landed in their last five.

That’s why both bets are terrible value for this one so it’s better looking to the scorer markets.

David Datro Fontana let me down last weekend but I’m sticking with the Molde hitman for anytime scorer here at 6/4 with Bet365.

There’s more options for punters in the foreign markets this weekend with this Austrian and Belgian leagues getting underway.

It’s hard to see anyone stopping Red Bull Salzburg with the champions starting their campaign last night
at home to Austria Vienna.

Sturm Graz and Wolfsberger were the closest pursuers last term and they face each other today in the pick of the games.
In the four meetings last term we saw a total of 15 goals so it bodes well for an exciting opener.

But BTTS pays just 4/7 at McBookie and over 2.5 goals isn’t much better at 8/11 so I’m going for the half-time draw at 6/5.

Rangers fans will be keen to see how their Champions League qualifying rivals Union Saint-Gilloise get on at Sint-Truidense in their Belgian league opener.

Sint-Truidense could only finish ninth last term but won 1-0 at Union in the last meeting. I can see a tight game so I’m betting against BTTS (19/20, Bet365).

Super singles

  • BTTS at Bodo-Glimt (10/11, Unibet)
  • Fontana to score (6/4, Bet365)
  • Half-time draw in Wolfsberger (6/5, McBookie)
  • BTTS no at Sint-Truidense (19/20, Bet365)

McBookie bet builder

  • Combining a win for Union SG with under 2.5 goals pays 279/100.
