PAUL LAMBERT survived a vote of confidence after his side's humbling Capital One Cup semi-final defeat to Bradford.
But there will be more calls for his head if his men crash out of the FA Cup at Championship outfit Millwall tonight.
Owner Randy Lerner is putting the emphasis on Premier League survival but there is no doubt a second cup exit in four days to npower opposition will be embarrassing.
So Lambert is expected to put out a full-strength side at The Den and he'll be relieved to see Millwall lack options up front with on-loan Derby forward Nathan Tyson injured while the experienced Darius Henderson has left for Nottingham Forest.
Villa conceded four goals to Bradford from set-pieces in the League Cup semis and that's a worry to Lambert whose club haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 14 FA Cup outings.
That stat suggests the first goal coud be header and you'll get 9-2 at BetVictor.
So for me, even if Millwall are short in attack, a Villa clean sheet is unlikely. If the Lions were at full strength I'd be tempted to back them at a best 6-4 with bet365 but it's more likely to be a draw at 13-5 with BetVictor.
It's a huge game for Villa who need to bounce back from their disappointment against Bradford and I think they'll at least get a second chance by taking the Londoners back to Villa Park.
Both teams should score and that pays just 7-10 at BetVictor. It could be a tense opening spell and William Hill offer 6-5 for the opener to be scored in over 31 minutes.
I correctly backed Christian Benteke to score first against Bradford but the big Belgian missed a few as well so I'm not as confident this time even though he is 9-2 at Ladbrokes and bet365.
If he starts maybe the player to look at is Andreas Weimann who came and netted the second-leg winner against Bradford. He is 8-1 at bet365 and 12-5 to net at any time.
